Thorn is -blam!-ing OP
The thorn (pre- buff) was a joke. With the buff I am getting two- shotted every time I set foot in the Crucible. Why couldn't a balance have been struck? Why can't the damage output be like 20% less so that it is 3 shots to down a guardian? The gun is like the new Mythoclast, but far more powerful. One extreme to another : l.

Thorn is a 3 shot kill, 2 for headshots. It always has been. Just for the sake of the argument. With that said the previous buff... Increased stability Increased mag size to 9 from 6 Increased reload speed The damage per shot hasn't changed, the rof has not changed, the dot has not changed(ignoring the accidental ninja nerf just before iron banner 2.0). With that said, why does it -feel- that thorn is so "op" now? After all, damage per shot hasn't changed, and having more bullets/faster reload won't make you die any faster... The difference now in terms of TTK is that it has the stability of an average hand cannon so people can consistently land shots quickly. Does that make it op? No matter which way I answer I will piss off SOMEBODY, so you can answer that question yourself.

I can't use it in pvp because my aim isn't as good. If someone is skilled enough to use it, more power to em. Hopefully I can get em with my vex before they get me.

pre buff the gun was fine i used it all the time and no one complained now its just more common to see so it just seems op noting damage wise changed for pvp. if you wanna beat thorn get your own

You realize that the damage has been unchanged since launch right? (Except that one week where it was glitched and did less DOT) Stability, mag, reload, and PvE DOT were the only changes.

1 ReplyI die to two shots from it when I stand still like an idiot and eat two head shots. That's how they're killing you in two shots, between the damage from two head shots and the dot you will die. Yet I've been shot three times before taking cover and lived through the dot. If you can dodge Thorn you can dodge a ball.

The time to kill on thorn dident even change, why dus it need a nerf? Cus alot of People use it now its actualy a decend weapon?? Get real dude, two headshots is just fine cus it takes skill to land them before you get Killed yourself. And i actualy have a rare blue handcannon that kills just as fast as thorn or hawkmoon, Lets nerf that to huh!? Its just becouse it is used alot and alot of People run in to a thorn now, but that's no reason to nerf!

Actually it's already 3 shot kill. Not to mention it's super easy to avoid getting killed by it. Either this is a troll or you're a major crybaby and need to git gud.

They should just nerf everything in crucible. There should be no more guns or killing of any kind. Just everyone running around the map until the timer ends and the game ends in a tie, so people can still 'earn' their gear.
