What's the point of Vault of Glass now?
This is a serious question. Outside of the Vex Mythoclast, I can't see a reason to waste time in there. Ascendant materials are not that much useful anymore, raid armour and weapons are outclassed by vanguard & faction gear, I fail to see a very good reason to do it. Maybe just for fun but then it's a chore to find 5 other players who want to go for it just for fun when they could be doing other things.

They should make a heroic modifier version of the vog and have it reward better exotics and stuff.

Its fun when you have the right group and you dont have to wipe 598t75475878459587 times. Also, I fancy myself a bit of a collector, I'd like to bag Fatebringer and Mythoclast still at least, but there's also the chance of 1.0 exotic drops which you can just hold off on upgrading until Xur comes around with the upgrade path to 2.0 . Also ascendants. In the words of Baird: "heh, could always use more"

Its fun to get 2 other good players and run the lvl 26 with 3 people. You can't kill Atheon (game mechanics are lame) but you feel like a boss getting to him.

The weapons may not be as powerful, but they're really good still. Plus ascendent materials.

5 RepliesI ran it with my titan on normal, then on hard. It gave me ascendant materials through the whole run, both runs. Bungie, I know you want to penalize everyone who doesn't play the dlc, but I own the dlc and season pass so you should really run a check on these things first. I already gave you my money.

Soon they will be making new armour for vog and making it at a harder level so that vog will get used i dont know when all this is happening though.

Because you can still get old stat exotics from it Today I got a plan c and a vex A guy got the ghorn and that's why I was there for a ghorn if xûr has the upgrade for it on Friday he's going be very happy. He was also only doing VoG to try get a ghorn n he did. You got to roll the RNG dice as much as poss to get what you want even if with old stats.

Meh... I got Gjallarhorn from it last night. It's not the upgraded version, but at least I have options.

If you don't have a Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence or a Corrective Measure the VoG is still a place you shpuld be going as those guns still have a place at the top even after the launch of 331 weapons.

Ascendant materials. If you're buying your way to 31, you still need them. Unless you ran VoG before you more than likely don't have a stack of these. That and a chance at elemental primaries until HM drops for DB. So while it may not be useful for you, I still have a character I need to farm shards for. I'll still be running it until I run CE.

Personally for me.. Id mainly do atheon and Templar to get the gorgon checkpoint. Only interested in the exotics. Even if they are the old ones.

There are many reasons to do the VoG. Jut few reasons to GRIND it any more. 1. Its fun...especially on normal mode. 2. You still need shards and energy to upgrade non-Crota's Ed raid legendaries....and the VoG is the best way to get ALOT of them. 3. You can still get the new exotics from the chest. 4. The VoG weapons are still some of the best performing weapons in the game. More than enough fire power to deal with anything you'll see outside of Crota's End. 5. If you want to do the VoG you probably want to look for people around mid-week. That way, the regular raiders (most of whom will have bought the DLC) will be looking for upgrade mats to level up the rewards they got for doing the weekly and nightfall strikes...and the my not have settled in to do the DLC raid yet.

The VOG is too good to just throw away...I really wish both options of raid gear would be a viable choice.

There is no point. Buffed exotics and raid legendaries are a must, and it has to happen ASAP.
