Dark Below IGN Review-Insulting Loyal Gamers

If you read and/or watch the IGN review of The Dark Below they describe a lot of the things wrong with this expansion and how it is a slap in the face to loyal gamers. But the 10 minute video isn't enough time to mention all of the problems. Read Polygon's article about Destiny first expansion punishing the most loyal gamers. I have already posted a thread regarding that article and how it lays out every problem added with the expansion. The story is too short especially given the large cost. 3 story missions, a strike and a raid that I have yet to complete because it seems impossible to find a fireteam reliable enough to stick with it to the end. And a lot of the time it's not their fault. People constanly getting kicked from the raid leaves me standing at the Crota starting point for hours sometimes. Then there is commendations, previous armor and weapons made obsolete, the Eris level required to acquire things needed for weapons and armor despite getting through the raid (like that's not enough), all of the glimmer required to "reset" exotics despite the glimmer cap staying at 25000, the new energy and shard system that will make leveling new weapons and armor nearly impossible, the lack of storage space in the vaults and well, you get the idea. I could go on and on but what's the point? I have played this since September and developed a large friend base in the game which makes it hard to move on to another of my new games. I believe Bungie knows the gold mine they have with the players desperately wanting to grind and top their friends. I hate to say it but it seems like they are literally banking on that now and know people are hooked. So it seems like the expansion was designed to keep us grinding, working and hoping for the things we need. If that's the case then shame on you Bungie. Show some respect to the loyal fans and don't insult us with a tiny, mediocre expansion designed to make us grind for hours on end like the way the game was first designed. It should have given us a break. A lot of people are so thankful for that useless new sparrow and the fusion rifle from Eris because it's so hard to get a break in this game. I felt we deserved more. More content instead of a gimmick trick sparrow. Easy to access gear for paying $35 for this paltry amount of gameplay. Yeah you added new weapons and armor but it's even harder to acquire it now and level it up. So it may as well be unobtainable. I am vanguard level 23 but still have to work my tail off just to get a commendation. I had saved up my vanguard and crucible points to buy new stuff but found that wasn't enough. Come on Bungie! How many scathing articles and complaints from fans will it take to give us the break we deserve and paid for? I expect there will be those people that always have to disagree with someone in a post just for kicks. But before any of you shoot this down, think really hard. If you've been incredibly lucky or something in acquiring new gear, you are in the minority and you know it from all of the complaints from friends or in articles like this. As for Bungie, DeeJ may not be responsible for all of this but he is the community spokesman. I am asking as I have in previous forums for a response. Do you read this? Can you speak on these matters? Can you let us know you hear our collective groans and reply to one of these? -A Frustrated Gamer
