Is the "hybrid system" kicking me from my ISP?

Hi Bungie, Is there something about the hybrid networking design you have implemented causing some ISP's security systems / firewalls to think its suspicious network behaviour? If this is the case could you send them your network patterns so they can update their allow rules. I am one of those UPC customers getting kicked off with the bee, bang, wallop, errrrr errors. I have played 3 Crucible Matches as a test and did not get kicked once. (Normal Matchmaking Technology?) When I play in the Destiny open world/mission maps I am getting kicked every 5-15 minutes. (Hybrid Networking Technology) When I change the DNS IP address to google's on XBOX or Router I can get about a half hour. (Don't know why) pingtest.net results Ireland to San Francisco: Packet Loss: 0%, Ping 200ms, Jitter 2ms Washington DC: Packet Loss: 0%, Ping 124ms, Jitter 2ms London: Packet Loss: 0%, Ping 23ms, Jitter 2ms Frankfurt: Packet Loss: 0%, Ping 36ms, Jitter 2ms Don't know if these are relevant considering.. I've done the usual stuff to fix the problem to no avail.

  • This seems like good sense, whether ISP providers will play along (since they're greedy gits who are happy once they have our money) is yet to be seen. Good luck BoganoMac, hope it can get sorted for you.
