Exotic Bounties Random?
I've gotten the same 3 exotic bounties (the crappiest ones) for the last 5 times, across 2 characters. If it happens again it is likely going to be the death blow to my ambition to continue playing this game. All the reviews I've read for these weapons are that they are essentially pathetic and not worth the time to complete their respective bounties.
Toland's Legacy - Bad Juju - the one I first completed, sure I hate pulse rifles, but I hate shotguns and Pistols even more. I leveled it to get string of curses....I don't have to reload anymore doing patrols and strikes at levels I've out-geared, woopie. Even with the upgraded clip from expansion, an old school scout rifle is what I resort to for progression through content near my level.
A Dubious Task - Invective - Completed second, and third, and fourth. Did I mention I hate shotguns? This one is no exception, it's worthless unless you are close enough to melee. Sure it fires fast, but with only 4 shells and the knockback of a nuclear warhead, I fail to see how that's useful. I kept one just in case I somehow find a use for a shotgun, the other 2 are exotic shards now. At least the bounty is less time consuming, all that effort to save 14 strange coins...joy!
A Light in the Dark - Thorn - I finally accepted today, haven't searched for reviews of it since expansion...but the ones before are absolutely dismal with the exception of some gunslinger hunters that enjoy it thanks to instant reload from precision kills. I prefer blade dancer, but hey, who am I to decide how I should play? I probably should just cave and go gunslinger anyway, blade dancer is virtually worthless thanks to all the self destructing crap and overpowered melee in the raid content. Since the quest for it is one of the most involved and annoying bounties involving the crucible, I have no idea how long I will take to complete it (if ever). I can guarantee it won't be before Xur disappears with the upgrade for it this weekend, which adds insult to injury in the event that it's now a useable weapon after the adjustments.
I'd be shocked if typing this matters in the slightest, but when I saw the same 3 exotic bounties for the 5th time after I spent the morning grinding away crucible rep (which I hate) to try and purchase a new chest piece...I had to take a break and vent.

3 RepliesBad Juju is quite viable now with the increase to super energy added to String of Curses and the 9 round increase to the clip. Thorn now has a 9 round clip and a faster reload, making it very strong in Crucible. Invective is Invective. Useful for making people like me mad in Crucible when it outranges guns like a Found Verdict and a Hammer Forged/Rangefinder Hide and Seek. Super Good Advice post-buff is okay at best. Most other exotics are a much better choice for this slot. It's quite fun to walk around and spray bullets in the air. I timed it in Crucible. With the Speed Reload perk on it took about 54 seconds to shoot all of the ammo from one heavy ammo crate. Pocket Infinity is buggy. When it works it's very powerful in Crucible. If you had a question in the wall of text above about whether the bounties were random every time (didn't read much, just skimmed and looked at the title), the answer is yes. It seems there's a greater chance of seeing the trifecta of Bad Juju, Invective, and Thorn though.
