2014: a year full of ups and downs for Destiny

It certainly has been a very strange year filled with corporate deceit and the ambivalent opinions of millions of gamers. Destiny, although a very enjoyable game in my opinion, has come as a stark disappointment to many. Bungie and Activision employed a set of very shady business tactics meant to deceive inauspicious gamers simply looking for a quality title to purchase. Both corporations undoubtedly released an obviously unfinished game chockful of blantant errors and lacking in both story and general content. It saddens me to see one of my favorite gaming companies, bungie, to succumb to corporate greed promising easy money through false advertisement and selling add on content separately that should have already been present in the base game. Although i do not for a second condone any of things i previously mentioned, i must state my stance on the future of the Destiny franchise. Without a doubt Destiny has the potential to become an intricate masterpiece. One day, it could even rival its groundbreaking predecessor halo. However, for the time being, Destiny is still plagued by incompetence and ultimately held back by the two companies that have stood by Destiny since its infancy. My suggestion to one of my prefered companies is to listen to your player base in a more impactful way. I understand its impossible to adhere to every single gamers preference however instead of patching minor problems i believe it would be much more beneficial on bungies part to simply repair their game altogether. I believe Destiny desperately needs 3 things so it can transform into a title of true quality: 1. A diverse and engaging story. 2. More content so it doesnt seem like we are forced to replay the same missions over and over. 3. A more vivid and lucrative rng system meant to improve our lives not hinder them. Destiny to me remains a solid game despite its many setbacks. I still play on a regular basis fueled by the hope that one day Destiny will be a masterpiece. I believe that Destiny's future is bright and with the necessary improvements, along with bungies and Activisions neglect of shady businesses tactics, it could see prominence as one of the most satisfying fps mmorpg hybrids ever created. Note: I hope you all enjoy my post and realize how crucial it is for us to voice our opinions in an effort to procure a higher quality future for Destiny. I apologize for the length of the post and i hope any spelling or gramatical errors do not take away from the overall meaning of the post. Also, i apologize if my post sounds pompous or overly vindictive and i would greatly appreciate feedback regarding the accuracy of my statements. Thanks for reading and may the light of the traveler guide you and may it brighten your holiday.
