I just lost a game of control with over 10k points, 51 kills, and a 4.25 ratio
The struggle is real.

Flags are a point multiplier. At the end of the game the team with the most captures/time spent holding the flags can still easily lose if they didnt get many kills
Anyway 50 kills is almost enough to kill every single player on the enemy team 10 times each you cant tell me that didnt help their team hold the flags they did have(captures mean nothing if you dont hold it)[/quote]

3 RepliesBut the quote you used points out exactly why you guys did lose. If you don't have zones captured you can get as many kills as you want and you'll still lose. I'm usually always first in Control, albeit never like this (very impressive, BTW, regardless of outcome) and I always make sure to end up with most captures, that's the whole point. You have to be aware of what zones are being held and if you're the best player on the team it really comes down to you making sure that two zones are held at the same time. I don't think you can pull off 50+ kills constantly going in for captures and defending, I could be wrong but that's where I usually die when trying to defend and having someone rush in with a super or trying to capture and having someone camping with a shotty.

Personally I'd like to see a Match of Control where Kills are not counted towards the score. I think my best K/D ratio was 1.85 and I know with my physical limitations It most likely wont ever go above that. Excellent score, at least you got the medal for highest score while leading your team to defeat.

I don't play much pvp until this ib. Had my best match with 30+ kills and was dragged down by a .09 k/d. I don't know the math but that is terrible. Too many people afk in ib. I have tried it but always get kto.

3 RepliesFrom my observation your team just sucked gorilla testicles... I feel your pain. Some people just don't group up or follow any course of action... most just do their own thing. "O look it's a dude kill him" - *get's owned by a group of three* "what do these red things in the corner mean" - *gets a melee from behind* "Looks like nobody's at this CP" - *Gets shotgun corner camped* Or people just fail to figure out how to counter certain weapons... Sometimes I feel like people fail to slightly predict how a another member of the human race might try to kill you and this results in PvP Failsauce... but on a serious note... it's a game where the main goal in mind is Entertainment soooo maybe some people just like to die. lol just some random thoughts... Nice stats BTW.

My history is filled with 35 to 6 matches that are losses. Even when I go 51 to 8 I only win by ~10 kills and everyone but one guy on my team is negative... and even that one guy is only up 5 kills. I have a below 1.0 W/L, yet my K/D in Clash recently has been around 5.0 with 4000 score per game average. I get 40-50% of the score needed to win and the other five people on my team put together cannot match that to get us a win. Don't even get me started on what happens if I stop using the most OP builds in the meta and just play for fun. CR lobby sorting ensures I lose ten matches in a row when I stop pumping out the Reign of Terrors. The problem is not the players, it's how Bungie's stupid matchmaking works. It sorts the lobbies to make it 1 great with 5 terribads versus 6 goods every match. EDIT: Straight from Bungie itself in Patch 1.0.1. 3 RepliesWhat I find funny about these posts is the belief that an individual high score should rule the day. Most of these are team events so if you ignore your team and just kill everything in sight, well it's not always going to work the way you want. If you want your individual ability to count the most, go play the non team events. Otherwise, even if you score amazingly, if your team is short a player because you are trying to be a hero then losing the day shouldn't be a surprise. I'm not saying one or two people racking up the kills isn't a boon to the team, but a team working as a team will usually have an advantage. Disclaimer, I am mediocre at best, and probably a hindrance to my team usually. But I always wind up doing better when I focus on team play and not my own personal kd. But still, that's a nice score and double anything I've achieved, so kudos on that.

I feel your pain man. That shit is ridiculously frustrating. Went 24 and 3 in skirmish once and and still lost by 100 points and the other team tea bagged me every chance they got..

I would have had to go runs strikes or do bounties after some shit like that. Wow. Epic game though. It's rounds like that why the first place guy should be guaranteed some kind of drop.
