New Things That Should Be Added To Destiny

My friend and I, were conversing about some things that Bungie should add to the likeness of Destiny. We talked about how there could be a single/co-op survival mode, made with maps, places, or fresh and new developed content, just for the game. We also talked about new classes for weapons. Such as railguns, and laser weapons. What if you, and a fireteam of 3 or 4, went in to a NEVER ENDING (until all of you are dead of course) waves of enemies? Swarming your fire team by the hundreds (and if you and your fire team survive long enough, the thousands). You could call it the "Onslaught Playlist", or for the specific enemy. For example, you and your fireteam want to fight hive. You and your fireteam would go into a playlist called "Crota's Rage/Wrath". After ten tedious and intense waves of enemies, the fireteam is rewarded with weekly/daily gifts, courtesy of RNG (Random Number Generator). Guardian, you're gonna have your hands full. So, what about those weapons, eh? What about those weapons? Guardian, would you want NEW, bad to the bone, weapons? Like directed energy weapons, the non-basic stuff. Laser weapons, railguns, melee weapons (hunters knife doesn't count), and all other types of weapons from our imaginations. Maybe some new twists on our base weapons. Like fusion/pulse rifle primary. Being able to fire a laser at Atheon, and Crota, will feel more rewarding than anything else in Destiny. Guardians, if you feel that these ideas should be put into consideration, feel free to talk about it. These are things, that will draw more attention of potential, and new Guardians. Remember, we haven't beaten The Darkness. Not yet. In this fight, should enjoy it with style and finesse.

Remember, we haven't beaten The Darkness. Not yet. In this fight, should enjoy it with style and finesse.[/quote] I agree with this post almost entirely. Me and many of my friends who have been on this game for some time have said that it would be awesome if there was an arena P.V.E in which you could fight enemies of any kind or all of them at once. My only idea(s) would be that you get little to no xp for it. That and it's not a just a new weapon drop type system either. However, what would be a good system is if was a way you get one of five things no matter what. 1.strange coins (singular or a varied amount) 2.motes of light (singular or a varied amount) 3.legendary engrams of all types armor and weapon (singular) 4. Legendary or Exotic armor drops (singular) 5. Legendary or Exotic weapon drops (singular) Now I know the question would be, "well wouldn't that be a farming system basically?". My answer to that is not necessarily, the idea behind it would be to make each wave progressively more difficult and the progression is based on level of the character. Say your in a group of guys level 15s and 30s, would it not be efficient to have it set up to where the enemies are slightly lower level at the start say level 17 or 18 and then as it progresses it jumps up by 1 or 2 levels depending on the highest level in your group. Yes this makes it almost impossible for a level 2 guy to join a bunch of level 20 guys. It also means you need to have a solid team of people who can work together and aren't to varied in level. I'd say if I were doing this (keep in mind im level 31 and definitely not an elitist) I would want to keep the guys I'm with at at the very least level 28 because that would mean the max cap is going to be level 31. Considering on story mission you can't do it if it's four levels above you (correct me if I am wrong on that I am uncertain of the exact number) that would mean a level 27 guy wouldn't be able to do any damage what so ever in a level cap that is 31. Don't believe me get a guy to level 6-7 go over to that cave just before the front side of the sky watch ( literally below the stairs) there is a cave of 1 level 11 dreg and 1 level 11 captain. The cave is guarded by 2 level 7 dreg. Watch how fast that level 6-7 character gets destroyed by two enemies merely 4-5 levels above him. The next thing questioned will be, "What about the loot pool? Wouldn't that be a farm still?". Once again my answer is not necessarily, the reason being is that the different loots can have different drop rates. 1. Strange coins have a common-uncommon rate. 2. Motes of light have a common- uncommon rate. 3. Legendary engrams (all types) have an uncommon-rare rate. 4. Exotic armor has a rare-extremely rare rate. 5. Exotic weapons have a rare- extremely rare rate. Then the next thing would be, "Does that mean you don't always get stuff?". To be perfectly honest the answer is a little bit of yes and a little bit of no. While you might not get anything from a strange coin to the Monte Carlo you could still get glimmer. That's right this could open up a new way to get glimmer that is actually fun. Don't get me wrong farming glimmer isn't the worst thing to try and farm this game. What it is however is boring. Nobody wants to run around on patrols and just kill to get glimmer, which might I add would take hours (which for some people is the only time they have, not me,but some people) to do. The next comment would be, "Well what about the Exclusion Zone or the Dark Beyond?". Once more I have the answer, nobody can truly say that they get excited when farming for glimmer in these two places any/everytime they go to do it. With all of this being said there is still the question of well how long it would take to complete these waves. I would like to say it should be based on the amount of people and the level of these people. Pretend there is just 3 level 17 guys it should take about 5-10 minutes per wave and just throwing a number out there we will say that it would be 7 waves that would be a total of 35-70 minutes. Obviously if it keeps to the same level cap style of 3 above it would go up to level 20. Now if it were a group of 6 level 30s 31s and 32s waves could take anywhere from 10-20 minutes depending on the team that means anywhere from 70-140 minutes. I understand there would still be lots of questions about what enemies give what and time possibilities and so on and so forth. Further more I would also like to point out how difficult a play style this would be to create. So even if it does become an "Arena Playlist" I wouldn't be to upset if there were some bugs starting out or even down the road. Now i'm not expecting something like this to happen (while if it did I would flip my absolute s h i t) it would be the thing that reignites a lot of people's love for this game and would even (in my opinion) be something that make more people play. Now with that being said Bungie please don't pull a Hollow Dome DLC. Comments and criticism will be gladly taken, message me or post below.
