short version: many of us are unlucky as -blam!- and having a chance to purchase legendary weapon engrams from someone for some amount of money at some point in the week would be nice. Long version: obviously we've all been taught that xur should carry an exotic armor engram every week, if he doesn't a large majority of us take to the forums to complain about it. well i have another idea. one that may satisfy us all. What IF along with the exotic armor engram, xur also sells a legendary WEAPON engram. this way the new players have a chance to get a good gun, and we could even get a different exotic weapon than xur has. idk about all of you but rarely do i see a purple engram drop after i kill an enemy, i also almost never get a legendary engram or even a weapon (except in the nightfall, then it's once a week that i get a legendary weapon, but it's immediately sharded. haven't received an exotic from the nightfall in about 6 weeks). this legendary weapon engram like all others would have the chance to turn into an exotic. which would probably relieve the hate for xur by about 100x. i completely believe this would be accepted by the community because all of the ones whom have a ghorn or icebreaker typically say for xur not to sell it because it would be game breaking. i actually agree with the "gamebreaking" theory. well what if we just gave everyone a CHANCE at one every week, we may never get one, but at least it's a chance.... more than many have rn to get weapons such as these. rngeezus has not blessed all of us like those whom have been fortunate enough to have them dropped. but i sincerely believe we should all have a specific chance every week aimed towards these items such as dragon's breath, ghorn, ib, even suros. the exotic engram has been a good placeholder for the idea that we can purchase the CHANCE at good gear. such as the fact i havn't recieved an exotic outside of xur for about 2 months now... it's really quite frustrating. and the fact that i've personally seen many of my friends pick up many things that i'd personally like is great! ran my buddy whom i've known basically my entire life through the vog for his first time, first chest after the templars no teleport chest, he got an ib. i was pissed and yet excited for him at the same time! well why can't xur give everyone that chance every week too! or even the gunsmith for a limited time during the week. please, everyone just think about it. idrc how much it would cost, 20 motes of light, 15 strange coins, 10,000 glimmer and an exotic shard for a higher chance it'll be an exotic. who knows but i seriously think if random exotic gear of a set gear type can be purchased every weekend, why can't a lower tier weapon engram be included? i don't mean to be on a rant here, i'm usually one of the many that get mad over how many rants and suggestions to bungie there are on the forums. but this IMHO is different. it's not a petition to nerf a gun, or a petition to add more content. it's me asking for the chance at weapons that are actually GOOD. i've recieved a cryptdweller 2.0 scoutrifle (unsure if it's a scout rifle, sharded it immediatly) 2 weeks in a row! got an exotic titan helmet twice in a row, the other times i either got energy, shards or coins. now i understand that this is normal. but on 2 characters, for a month and a half, every time? this shouldn't happen. so instead of making us all do the nightfall for a chance at getting a really good gun (unlikely), a repeat exotic, a repeat exotic gear, a repeat legendary gear, 12 or less shards/energy (run the vog if you really need them that badly haha) coins, or motes of light, how about we make it an option to 1.) turn in the things you get in the nightfall for chances to reroll your reward (costing the current reward of course) with the added cost of gilmmer, motes or coins. 2.) give us the option to purchase a legendary weapon engram and/or legendary gear either on the weekends or week round if you have the currency to do so. 3.) just ignore all the rng unblessed and continue to have xur hated on for having crap... sorry for the long post but somthing needs to be done....
