Well for example my friend wants to level up to 20? On my main character I ran through all the missions beforehand (2 months ago) and then returned to orbit before the end mission timer. You ask why? Well, by doing that on all the missions allows me to keep a checkpoint at the end of each mission which means when a friend/clan member decides they wanna level up a new character I can just host the fireteam, and simply load up the required mission (being at the checkpoint saved) and within a minute or so, the mission is most likely completed and awards the lower level player with the XP gain and so forth... Rinse and Repeat for all the missions. This is a good way to pass levels quickly, the disadvantage to this is that you'll miss heaps of enemy kill XP but don't worry, to make up that ground just be sure to hover over the tower every two levels higher to check for a diamond, green symbol which usually signals that the postmaster has an item waiting for you in the Tower. Simply grab the bounties that go perfectly in sync with the story missions, the daily bounties which I believe become available between level 10-12 & lastly Eris' bounties (DLC) Note: If you don't mind a bit of crucible you could always do one or two bounties which usually reward you 5000 XP per completion. This isn't the best guide on levelling up, unless you have a friend willing to grab these checkpoints for you! If not, sorry! [spoiler]People say why create a new character? Well, why not? If not all you do is grind for the week doing strikes that doesn't reward most that generously & capping out your marks... Locked out of the Raid loot and I'm sure there's many more downfalls to not making a new character every now and then, this would give you even better chances at receiving loot![/spoiler]
