Twilight Gap (re) enactment

Twilight gap (re)enactment with time travel So, i've got an idea for a playlist mode. This works as a cross between story mode / public events. Here's the idea. Ghost: We've got reports from the FWC of Vex activating a strange technology on Venus. Lets investigate. We show up on Venus in front of a Vex gate. There are a couple of Vex hanging around here. We clear them out. Ghost: Ok, let me look at that conflux / control panel. You deploy your ghost... ... White light begins surrounding your character... ... Ghost: What's going on? Oh no. I think I activated the system. Hold on, I'll try to get you......... White light... silence.... Commander: .... What .... you. .... wake .... Commander: Wake the -blam!- up the soldier! What do you think this is nap time? We're at war here son! You get up and look around. We're at twilight gap! On Earth! And there is a battle ranging! Fallen are advancing! Commander: Soldier! GRAB YOUR WEAPON! FIGHT!!! Check your gear. Only some standard rag tag fatigues. None of my weapons, just a Khovstov. Wait, where's my ghost! Oh shit! No one to revive me! You run to the front lines and join the fight with the NPCs and begin picking off Fallen with your Khovstov. There are waves of them and they keep coming. You take some out and then notice something. Not all the soldiers on the line are NPCs. There are other guardians here. Check your roster. They are not on my fireteam. What is this like a public event? Whatever, lets kill some fallen! After a few minutes, the wave quiets down and the Commander booms over the radio... Commander: Fallen incoming at sector B... Move your asses to B! Hold the line! You follow the guide to sector B and find more Fallen. Some of them are yellow, Captains and Servitors! You and the others fight hard. You take this wave out after some time. Commander on the radio again... Commander: Fallen walker in Sector C... All troops to C! Take out the walker! You head over to Sector C. You and the others fight the walker. All is going well, until you step out from a rock and get blown up by a walker rocket. White light.... Ghost: Gaurdian... Guardian... Wake up! You: What.. What happened? Ghost: I... I don't know.. You were consumed by the white light and vanished... You were gone for a moment. My sensors could not pick you up anywhere. And then suddenly you returned in another flash of light... I dont know what this thing is... Maybe the Future War Cult has some idea... Lets get back to the Tower... Mission Ends... So here's the summary of how this play mode works 1. Through a vex time machine you are transported back to past major battles in the games lore. So, twilight gap, the hive invasion of the moon, etc. 2. You don't have any of your gear. You start with a Khovstov and can pick up some other weapons along the way. 3. Mission moves in horde waves from zone to zone. You start at the beginning and through each zone/wave the difficulty of the challenge increases. 4. Mission is over when you die. No resurrections/checkpoints. Like a nightfall. However an option to start over quickly could be present. 5. You play solo or with your fireteam. But other Guardians on the server will be fighting with you. So you are never alone. An open voice channel can be opened like in strikes. 6. No supers. Just straight up combat. However, additional weapons, turrets and vehicles will spawn at certain points. 7. Difficulty increases as you play, although you could start it out at a harder difficulty for better rewards. 8. Speaking of rewards: Rewards are provided on an increasing probability scale. The more kills you have, the more waves you clear, the more areas you secure = The better your probability for better rewards. There could be legendaries and exotics as rewards that are custom to this time period and only come out of this mode. 9. Could be played again and again similar to a strike or crucible playlist. So, what do you guys think?
