My favorite mission is "exclusion zone". The music is great. The encounters are fun. The length is perfect.
What's your favorite mission?
-
Definitely a khvostov rising because of the references ghost makes to the first mission and the talk with ghost at the end
-
The Black Garden, all for the boss fight. The actual fight might just be 3 Vex Gate Lords, but with the added music it feels so much more epic.

Most of them that feature the game's main character, Rasputin. I was really excited about getting into the Seraphim Vault. It was cool to see the inside, but the mission was a huge letdown and made Rasputin seem so much less of a godlike rampant ai... Then again, I'm just channeling Durandal from Marathon.
-
Sword of Crota. Hands down. BUT I wish they'd add that Urn of Sacrifice mission to the replayable map, because it was fun.
-
The Wakening or whatever the last Eris mission is called. Just to hear her belt out "CROW-TA!" at what is supposed to be a serious moment ends up being funny. That, and the intro to The Buried City... "They say Freehold BIRTHED...." What? Why say it like that?

Edited by Trance Circa: 12/23/2014 7:36:01 AMThe only one that felt like an actual acceptable mission is the very first one where ghost first meets you. Enemies crawl down from the ceilings to attack instead of just coming out of the darkness doors like every other level. Just one example.
-
The opening part, where everything was scary and shit jumped out at you. After that the story went south.
-
The one with the satellite array. I promised myself I wouldn't spoil anything, so I didn't know how the story would fall apart. I thought the story from there would be installing Rasputin across the solar system.
-
Exclusion zone solely for the glimmer

Edited by xAngelo0fdeathx: 12/22/2014 9:07:20 PMSword of Crota because the sword is fun, but I love how well put together The Black Garden mission was. If the rest of the story had quality missions like that there wouldn't be a single complaint. The visuals were amazing, the build up was awesome and it just an overall fun mission. Edit: The Wakening was really good too.

sword of crota.

Idk. They are all the same, just wrapped in different packaging. 1. Go have dinklebot scan something, 2. Go in some building to have dinklebot hack something 3. Dinklebot says "this is uncrackable, give me time" 4. Realize dinklebot takes too long and enemies come to kill you 5. Kill enemies 6. Soon as you kill giant waves of enemies, dinklebot just gets done. 7. Tells you what he scanned 8. Mission completed 9. You go "WTF, could you have hacked a little more faster!" That is every mission in a nutshell
-
Last array. The music and the fact that you can see what Dinklebot is doing instead of "I got the info. Let's shoot this thing." You just see the results of what you're doing and it's incredible.
-
They all kind of blur now
-
Sword of Crota no contest
-
First time playing - the longest ones 100th time playing - the shortest one
-
Rasputin, should be longer though. I like the music and the new area. Gate lord is also fun, I like the vex.
-
Haha he said story mission :) I like a couple of the mission but none of which are story based
-
Sword of Crota or whatever. I like running around with the sword and the camera angle.
-
The new warmind mission
-
Edited by mymorningkill: 12/22/2014 8:34:24 PMI like the Black Garden because of the finale. The music is awesome. Sometimes I just run around letting the minds live so I can listen to it for a while.
-
The Archive I don't know why. I like it down there. It reminds me of the second last mission in Mass Effect.
-
Probably that last array mission where you activate the satellite dish. The level itself isn't all that amazing but knowing that Rasputin uses it to connect to the remaining defensive network is pretty awesome to think about. In fact Rasputin is probably my favorite character, really the only thing to survive the collapse but it completely changed its directives after the fact. It doesn't reach out to protect the city but instead it's developed it's own set of rules. There's just something awesome about Rasputin, he's technically on our side but he has a completely different approach and mission for protecting what's left of the solar system.
-
I kinda like the very first mission(the one you do immediately after creating your character i dont think it can be replayed) or the warmind mission for eris
-
What is this story you speak of. I thought they didn't have time to explain why they don't have time to explain. Or my favorite. I could tell you but I won't .
