Armor engrams starting at legendary and higher will decrypt into armor of a random class (as advertised on the engram itself). Additionally, playing the Vanguard and Crucible Playlists can also often reward you with armor of a random class. Finally, I've also observed packages occasionally rewarding your with random class armor.
