Am I not supposed to be able to solo anything anymore, Bungie?

So am a level 31 now after buying some new Vanguard armor and leveling it up. All I want to do is to come home after work and select a reasonable difficulty level and get some ascendance material in the Daily Heroic. Before the DLC I used to be able to do this daily and get 2 materials. Today, the one and only selection for Daily is the level 30 Rasputin's Bunker. No selection of levels, just 30. Why???? What is wrong with you guys? Why go backwards and remove the ability to pick a level? Some will say "just get a fireteam - use LFG". Sure, but maybe I just don't feel like doing all that when all I want to do is play a solo game. Ok, some will say that I'm not good enough - I should be able to solo an L30 strike being a 31 myself. Well... I guess I'm just not that good - I just want to have fun playing the game and I need the materials and loot at least to some degree for this. I really question whether you understand that some of your best and most loyal customers (I pre-purchased both DLCs BTW) just want to solo things quite often. So you need to not take things away (like selecting a reasonable level). I also question whether you've tuned the difficulty level properly. Last week I was "only" a 30 and tried to solo the Weekly Heroic on "easy" (L26) to get at least 3 coins. I've sometimes solo'ed for 9 coins in the past. But with the new Omnigul strike I couldn't even solo it at 26 with an L30 character. There were just too many things thrown at me. So, is this really they way you want it tuned? That you can't solo a 26 strike at 30 and you can't do a Daily despite being 31? All of these are easy if you have a 3-person fireteam. Or if you allowed matchmaking. So just allow matchmaking on the Daily and Weekly strikes! Or tune them with more choices for us who don't have a bunch of teenage friends or know hardcore gamers. I can perhaps understand why Vault of Glass and Crota's End might be reserved for fireteams, but there's absolutely no reason why the Daily/Weekly strikes can't do matchmaking. I am so frustrated. I want to quit, but I also love the game. The overall gameplay, movements, weapons, etc, are so wonderful. So why are you trying to frustrate me to the point where the game in unplayable because I can no longer participate in the core activities needed to further progress? You should have a simple rule: DON'T GO BACKWARDS. For instance, don't take away the Daily/Weeklies for customers without the DLC. Don't take away the ability to select difficulty. Feel free to add higher difficulties (with more rewards than lower), but don't take away the lower ones. It's like you're trying to piss off a large segment of your user base, which is really weird. Anyway, I love the game. And after the last few days of playing, I really want to quit. I probably won't quit just yet, but I'm getting closer and closer. You guys really need to start understanding this part of your user base. Not everybody has a clan or gaming friends that can jump into a fireteam everyday or the skills to solo the Nightfall. So go and figure out how to make it fun for us. Thank you for (hopefully) listening.

  • You need to rank up those weapons. Anything under 300 will be doing sub par damage. That being said you have one gun that can easily wreck that mission for you. truth. Get to the Rasputin fight and save full rocket ammo if possible. Get omnigul to despawn and kill the thralls. Omnigul will summon one set of mobs at first you can see where they will appear by the glowy green/black mist forming above the spawn location. Line up a rocket or a grenade and try to time it that you explode them all as they appear. They pretty much always spawn cursed thralls and their explosion assists in killing the rest. Clean up and stragglers especially the witch try to make sure she's dead first so she doesn't have time to travel around the room leaving vestiges. Next omnigul will spawn two groups. Again try to time it that you have grenades landing there and /or rockets. You are a Titan I suggest the strikers lightening grenade just plant em right in the spawn spots :) Finally she'll spawn 3 groups. Two of them are very close to each other the game always spawns them in the same locations. So just try to remember where they appear. Dispatch the double mob group asap, with rockets and nades, then switch focus to the last group. It should be easy to manage if you can take out the other two quick. Save one mob. And ready yourself for the ogre. Use a heavy ammo synth if needed, clear the last enemy and as soon as the ogre spawns. Blast him with rockets. >switch weapon. Unload clip, > switch weapon unload clip. He should be dead by then and you win as the rest of the enemies spawn in lol only to despawn
