Question about commendations
I need Commendations (obviously). I am rank 0 with New Monarchy. If i level New Monarchy rep to level 1, will i get a Commendation?

Ok I'll read and actually answer the question for you! Commendations come from each level from 3 onwards, so no you won't get one for rank 1. Side note: only vanguard gives vanguard commendations, crucible and the other 3 factions give crucible commendations.

Hmm, I heard if you level up factions the commendation goes towards crucible. I'm not 100% sure on that. However, in general you get a commendation for leveling up a rank. When I leveled up my last vangaurd rank I received a legendary helmet as well. It was kind of nice since it got me to 31 quicker.

I'd like to know this as well. I don't want to have to rank up dead orbit twice and rank up crucible twice to get full dead orbit gear

Commendations start at rank 3 for vanguard. I imagine it's similar for crucible
