Finally got mine to drop yesterday, posting this in hopes to clear up any confusion about the Husk. [i]If there is anything I missed, reply and let me know so I can add it in![/i] [b]What is the Husk of the Pit?[/b] [i]It's a white-tiered autorifle, & the beginning stages to the exotic gun Necrochasm.[/i] [b]What enemy drops it?[/b] [i]The Blades of Crota.[/i] [b]Where can you find the Blades?[/b] [i]They can be found on the Earth & Moon. They appear during a fairly frequent event that spawn inside caves. You will see a notification that reads "The Disciples of Crota have started a ritual" when they are about to spawn, & "The Blades of Crota have invaded this world" when they do.[/i] [b]How do I know it dropped?[/b] [i]Instead of dropping in an engram or pyramid, it will automatically be placed in your inventory when it drops, prompting you on the right side of the screen.[/i] [b]I've been killing Blades for days and nothing, what gives?![/b] [i]First, the most recent hotfix enabled the Husk to be dropped outside the demo. So if you have been trying a few days prior to no avail, take another crack at it. You might get lucky! Secondly, LUCK. Like most aspects of Destiny, it's no guarantee. I farmed maybe 15-20 Blades before it dropped for me.[/i] [b]I have the Husk, but it's taking forever to level![/b] [i]In order to level the Husk, you need to kill hive enemies. (As noted by it's 'Canabilism' perk. I got it fully leveled by running The Dark Beyond story at level 30 over & over. (Part where all the hive spill out of the entrance to the Temple of Crota.[/i] [b]Some other things to note:[/b] •You need an 'Embalming Orb' to evolve the Husk of the Pit into it's next stage, Eidolon Ally. The orb can be purchased from Eris, given you are rank 3 with her. If not, get on those bounties! •I had completed all of Eris Morn's quests before it dropped, and therefore had the DLC. HOWEVER, people have been posting saying they have had it drop without the DLC. •I was rank 1 with Eris at the time as well, and level 29. I've heard of a wide range of people getting the Husk, so your character level shouldn't matter. [b]Having a hard time getting the Husk to drop in the first place?[/b] [i]Many guardians have had success farming the Fist of Crota mission on Earth. The difficulty does not matter, just load it up and run past all the enemies until you meet a Blade of Crota. (He's guaranteed to be there every time). If it doesn't drop, go back to orbit and repeat as necessary![/i] [spoiler]Happy farming![/spoiler]
