How different is DestibyLFG from Raid match?

Not a rant or bash. I just want to know how is matchmaking for raid different from using destinylfg. maybe not an auto match like the strikes, but lfg flags like in other MMOs. maybe attach a little note? ex. lfg raid, have mic, lfg raid, looking to run it twice etc. Edit 1: I think some people are not getting the the point of my post. What I mean is that why can't Destiny add a similar match making system such as destinylfg. I have seen arguments like "dedicated vs random people" but this can be said about destiny lfg as well. i have met some terrible people from there as well. What I mean is they can easily imolement an in game system very similar to destinylfg.

  • On lfg you can find the exact role you need to fill on your fireteam.. so instead of having 8 hunters you can have your preferred group of races with your preferred weapon type ie: ghorn

    • If there was a matchmaking system they'd have to work around checkpoints and such. What strike have you done where you had a checkpoint. The raid would be the same. It'd be a lot of work overall. Plus they'd have to add on a back up matchmaking system for if/when a player leaves. The reason they didn't add a matchmaking system is because they want you to build your own team rather than get stuck with one that has little experience let alone motivation. They find that the experience of picking and choosing who you raid with and being able to complete the entire raid is an accomplishment.

Sure, they can implement a matchmaking system in the game. I used to be a proponent of this. However, I learned the hard way that people like to go afk and be carried through missions in the game. They help as little as possible, and are usually the reason why the team wipes. Another would be the trolls, who sit in Matchmaking just to make others lives hell. If matchmaking were a thing, the "boot from fireteam" option would not be available. Throw together teams that we find on LFG sites or on the forum recruitment page allows one person to assemble the team, and that person retains the right to remove the non-performers or the trolls.

    • The only problem with matchmaking raids would be people without mics

Does that answer your question?

        • Bungie isn't responsible for destinylfg. One less thing they have to pay for and maintain.

        • Expressed commitment versus matchmaking requests

        • exactly, there's no difference. Bungie is a bunch of lazy f*cks who don't want to build something that doesn't print em money. There is ZERO differences between lfg and matchmaking. Hell, they could give us a board in the tower where you write whatever is needed for your group and people can (if you accept them) automatically join without needing a friend request/party invite before joining your game. Like holy f*ck just copy/paste dat lfg but put it in the tower and let people 'Join This Group'... Retarded ass bungie.
