How to get Husk of the Pit
Step 1: Load mission Fist of Crota normal difficulty on earth
Step 2: Ride sparrow through mission untill you find hive doing the ritual
Step 3: Kill the blade of crota (There are no requirements for the drop just kill it. Also it won't drop like silken codex or black wax once you kill it it will show up on the right side of your screen like how raid loot is given)
Rinse and repeat don't get discouraged after a couple of try's, I've been helping a friend and I'm almost at the 50 kill mark.

Black wax and silken codex go straight to your inventory half the time as well. Pissing me off cuz i constantly think its the husk and then it goes NOPE BITCH PLEASE YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE LUCKY FOR ONCE?

I got it before I even bought the DB. Then I got the season pass. But no Tumbler Sparrow. Because I was too slow. PS Eidolon Ally is BEYOND useless. Still have it because it is a BITCH to get now.

i tried for two weeks now and didnt get anything but black wax idles there was a couple time where a box started to show up on the rights side of the screen but then whent away with out sowing me what i got, and still no luck getting the husk of the pit bungie please help

7 RepliesIm so glad it took all these people just a few shots, just a few hours. This crap took me 3 days on and off of trying and just when I was going to give up Bunge finally decided to give it to me. I believe I put in about 6 to 7 hours all together time just grinding with this method and going to earth farming. I got it using this method. How: 1. I took his shield down with a fusion rifle 2. I shot him in the head with a hand cannon until his health was almost gone. 3. I threw my grenade in his chest and boom it just popped up on my screen. 4. Thank God. 5. Fellas don't give up the method works, but Bungie is some B. S.

No, no, and no. I received both of my 'Husks' (appropriately, on the moon) while derping the scout missions. There's no science to this endeavor my young Padawan. Feel the Force and while you're waiting, have a drink of some blue colored liquid. :)

It's weird I keep getting black wax idol showering spinning at the side of my screen like a weapon does. Over 400 sword bearers killed and not one husk. I swear it's bugged on my account.

Best thing I did was test the cryptache engrams white primary ones Bought like 10-20 of them then ran the mission you farm at Lvl 24 can't think of the name but I've had 3 drop for me doing it that way

It's weird how my friends that don't have the expansion pass and are low level somehow get the gun, but then I farm Fist Of Crota for ages and I don't get it..

A player killed ol' blade of crota on the moon yesterday. I was standing on the roof above him watching. I figured he had a bounty so I didn't get in on it. After he killed the crote I got a husk of the pit just for being near by. Unbelivable. I got one first day and have gotten at least one husk every second day since. OMG i think the fact that some people can't get it at all is a reflection of everything that is wrong with RNG loot systems. VtxR - PS3

This is such a random drop. I think I got my first a few weeks after it was available and even then I was just doing bounties. Now i get one or two a week. I have 3, dismantled 3 more. I have a friend with 6. It's kind of crazy how it can drop so much and so little at the same time. I feel like the common denominator for me was the eris bounty though.
