Anyone interested in an updated Iron Banner reforging guide?
Last Iron Banner I wrote a reforging guide.
I'm considering doing another one. There are some nasty combinations this time around. However I'm burnt out of Destiny's PvP. I can either add sets for these two guns without actually grinding to get the guns (theoretical best builds), get the guns like last time or not bother at all if no one wants the info.

Ok i just decided i'm not playing IB. First it's a grind. But also, i just got a sniper rifle that's basically exactly what i was gonna attempt to reroll for if i bought one and honestly it's not much better than my epitath. I really wanted an auto rifle but again, i looked at the crucible one and it's basically already got glass half full, perfect balance and i think persistance which is darn near what my ideal reroll would be. Plus i think the Vanquisher may be better anyways. Regardless, i can just buy 31 armor and i don't need the guns. I'm kinda glad i saved myself the pain.

8 RepliesI am currently grinding and will obtain this auto rifle. My goal is to roll focused fire, field scout, and glass half full. What are your thoughts on this combination?

You don't need to actually grind IB and get them. I just want the theory and what perks for Silmar's Wrath are available. The Jolder's hammer was Amazingly helpful. I rolled a great one and knew it was good because of that guide. I knew that it was so good that i should quit even though i lost void damage and it was a smart move. My Jolder is such a beast that even if they offered an upgrade in the attack to Dark below level i wouldn't risk it.

Don't grind this game... it keeps sending Bungie the wrong message that players want to grind, when in reality that is the one thing players don't want to do. Players want to play and enjoy the gameplay carefree at their leisure with steady stream of random rewards that inject variety into their play rotation (new weapon type, new armor type, etc)... not be locked into grind mentalities while they are playing/enjoying with arbitrary grind goals and time limits.

I love that 2/7 chance for 2 hit kills (from headshots). I only wish I had another with crowd control instead for pve. oh well : ]. i'm interested to know what possibilities are for this current event. even though I see almost no reason to grind IB this time around lol. I'm aware of the sniper roll with final round, causing the 3rd bullet in the mag to be a 1hko on body shots... as well is probably wanting to roll armor piercing/double down to curve ammo issues and wall/enemy penetration. I have no idea what is randomly awarded this time around though. i'm hoping it's a shotgun. (rangefinder/shot package + hammerforged?). oh well. anyway, please yes! heeeelppp! Edit: since I don't see new perks added anytime soon, eventually the entire pool of weapons obtained via IB will covered and people will be able to reference your posts in all future IB events (as long as these weapons/reforging is possible). I don't know about you, but for the next months/year to come, I would feel pretty good about providing such useful information to all interested in the most interesting/best possibilities when grinding IB and it being all in one concise post/thread.

2 RepliesI would be except I have all level 31 gear. So what the hell am i gonna be doing iron banner for a sniper rifle an auto rifle. It sad that they did not add anything new. A shader something. After me and my team beat crota. Which hopefully we will tonight I will just use the bounties to level up armor and weapons. And pawn peoples faces off.

1 ReplyI was burnt out as well, but they fixed the Pocket Infinity so I'm back to playing Rumble for a bit. Haven't even checked the IB gear or Nightfall, lol.
