The Real Reasons for Networking Issues (for High End Internet)

Connectivity and Content/Meta are both HUGE issues

Doesnt matter; Ive given up on them

Neither/ Only one is a problem

So I have been observing destinys terrible connectivity to its users since launch and here is what i have found. Destiny's servers can not handle the large load put on them. I have collected many instances to referance my findings. This annoying situation with destiny connectivity is really corrupting many users experiance. To better clarify the lack of appropriate stress testing is ruining everyone's game. I afked in the charcter selection screen of being logged into destiny servers for the duration of roughly 2 minutes while i accidently clicked a "follow tag" junk at the top of posting my very long post on this topic im writing about now. Needless to say i clicked it thinking it would add the tag and, it trashed all my writing without any saving of my content. So im forced to write it again. NONE THE LESS, It told me "Could not connect to Destiny servers. Please check your network configuration and try again. For information on resolving this issue vistit help.bungie.net and search for error code weasal" ~code weasal. Ive looked and there is nothing on what error is happening other the its MY NETWORK. But ive looked and i do have nat2 and a good average speed even if it is on wifi. If i wired it would be faster and technically more stable but i honestly shouldnt need any more then that. Also i started writing and testing at 5pm pst tonight; the time the we have alot of earlier workers getting off work and playing destiny. Strange coincidence? I think not Here is my proof. My internet speed on wifi is 18Mbs down 2 mbs up. Thats fairly good for the average person specially on wifi and without google fiber. A clan mate of mine has an internet speed of a few 100 kilobytes, but is able to play fairly consistantly most days. For the people who arent tech savvy 1000 kilobytes is a megabyte. Kilo<Mega<Giga<Terra All of those need 1000 of it self to go to the next teir on the right. For people lucky enough to have google fiber they get roughly 0.6 Gb or 600Mbs of internet speed. Thats a looooot. For games now we shouldnt need that for at least a decade. However for some reason this game leads us on as if we need that connection speed. Because with my 18Mbs down and 2up. I cant seem to stay connected to destiny. But why is this i asked to me self day, after day of playing this game; whenever i feel like it because im currently unemployed? It is because the destiny servers CANT handle the high traffic demands placed on their servers. (random internet user) "But how can you prove such a thing golem?" (me) "Because i am unemployed and i can play when ever i want and test times that should reasonably create large loads on the servers due to the rudimentary pillars of our current civilization and how it is structured" (random internet user)"..." Here is one that drives me insane that ive replicated 2 or 3 times tonight during the high traffic time. "You have lost connection to Destiny servers. Your permissions to access online multiplayer gameplay may have changed or your profile may have been signed in elsewhere. for more information, visit help.bungie.net" Ive replicated this before and after it let me on long enough to load into tower and then immediately dc. I literally loaded in and then couldnt turn in my quests to eris. There isnt even an error code on that one. So why is it that Im magically unable to play my game that i spend $500 on the ps4 bundle to get? Because they dont have the servers nor the structure to host their own game because lack of proper stress testing and number projections. I've been playing broad band games online ever since i could about a decade ago; Right around ps2 days when it was accessible. And everytime you are just randomly booted while playing has always chalked up to be the servers cant handle the stress load. Its happened many times on many, many games. I have had alot of experiance with this before but never for such an extended amount of time. "Why is bungies corrective measures taking so long?" i am wondering to my self right now. The only way i can think of its because they are gambling to much at one time and they are frankly trying to save a titanic that almost crashed and sunk; or is quickly sinking beneath thier feet as they try to bail them selves out due to the fan bases mistrust in them. Basically for me and alot of players i know and have taked to the have said "Im not gonna be buying the next thing from destiny unless i know for a fact that its worth the money". The mistrust and damage to the bungie brand name has been done. Destiny IS a fairly good game ( with an artifical meta designed to compensate for lack of content by padding on extra play time ) but its majorly stunning and terrible issues are all of the cut content and features, and its absurdly terrible connectivity. (cut content being the queens brother seen on earth threating you with a revovler and seeing other players dropped off by their ships on world) Honestly there is nothing that can be done at this point it feels like. I do feel like with alot of other players that this game IS a lost cause. There are other games out there that can provide the same kind of fun without all the drama and issues. As another referance here is one last extremely annoying error i got before and tonight but i wrote it on my first draft that this forum ate. Exampled by user P45K "i'm in Australia, i had a sweet run for 4 or 5 hours earlier today, it's now 5:30 PM and every time i sign in with my character, the game now gets the "Error: Lost Connection to Partner Services" dropout every single time it attempts to load the next travel destination. it's probably just all the other players coming home from work and firing up the game as well ...we also had a bit of a head-start over here, in the last few hours the US etc has been getting their game on as well. i'm quickly learning to fear that red line appearing on the screen =D" ~ (http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/68989647/0/0)(last edited by him on "...Sep 8 at 11:43:10 PM") I cant tell you how many times ive had this issue. EVEN when im still signed in to psn and in a party chat with clan mates Im magically droped by this error. I get this error at around 5pm when earlier workers get home and play. He is getting this error at our 11pm to 12 pm when really late workers get home. This is yet further proof that the servers cant handle the server load and this proof is provided by someone who isnt even me. Bungie please get it to gather and fix this stuff. Other wise you are problably looking at the end of your company because there is alot of fan mistrust because of all the issues in this game. You have done major damage to your brand name to many players ive talked to. Dont get me wrong i liked halo like everyone else, but having the problem of not even being able to play is a HUUGE issue To summarize to you bungie you need to improve the servers ASAP and some how fix the the lack of content. I dont even care if you make an extra dlc to add in all the cut content, but we need more stuff in this in order to regain trust and confidence in your brand name. I heard that you guys will have like a destiny 2 or some junk like that instead of what i though would be many dlc installiations. I honestly wouldnt even think about buying a "destiny 2". Cause destiny one just had a painfully large amount of technical issues that you just dont seem to be adressing well enough. I doubt you would do that, but still rumors are flying around promoting mistrust in you that needs to be adressed too.
