Vanguard and Handcannons (the devil you don't)
Hi Bungie,
Post DLC drop, I am very disappointed with the complete lack of a good handcannon for PvE players to work towards. A few notes:
- Firstly, there are 2 options for all primary weapons at the crucible and vanguard vendors, except for hand cannons where there is only one.
- Pre DLC that wasn't an issue, as both of these hand cannons were pretty good (Devil you know and Lord High Fixer).
- Post DLC, the one and ONLY Handcannon you can purchase with Vanguard Marks is crap. 5 bullets per magazine with slow reload, not really an option at all. The crucible counter part is quite good (TFWPKY), but I don't like PvP and thus won't be spending hours having my ass handed to me to farm crucible Marks/rep.
My suggestion is to improve the ONLY handcannon available for Vanguard Marks to make it AT LEAST average, otherwise you are wasting a vendor slot.

2 RepliesThe fix for this is SO SIMPLE. Bring back all the old Vanguard and Crucible vendor weapons with their attack stats updated to match the new ones. I gave Bungie money to add to the game, not take away from it. If I want a The Devil You Know with up to 331 attack then that option should be available to me, even if I have to grind out a commendation and rebuy it or get it as a drop. Upgrade option for the one I have would be nice, but that's a different can of worms I don't want to open right now. The real joke is factions actually carry their old weapons with updated damage numbers. Same for armour, it's the same stuff with the same perks but higher light and defence. There is absolutely no reason for the Vanguard and Crucible quartermasters not to offer the same.

Yeah you think they would've learned from the mistakes they made with Thorn. Granted Thorn is an exotic but no handcannon should have less than a 9 mag capacity. I got the Devil You Don't and it feels like pre-thorn buffs all over again. I think I'll stick to my Thorn.

I hear you man. I'm reduced to waiting for a random handcannon drop from one of the other factions and hoping the perks aren't junk.

Yep, I got the devil you don't and immediately dismantled. 5 rounds in the clip isn't worth any effort.

It's idiotic that we can't upgrade Vault weapons and that there are no good DLC legendary hand cannons, so I'm just going to stick with Ol' Reliable until something better comes out or I can upgrade it

2 RepliesAt lvl 30 you can still use a 300 attack weapon. I have been doing daily strikes, when not pay wall blocked, with my Shadow Price, and lvl 29 character, and haven't noticed much of a difference.
