So around the time Xur was selling the last word, I was playing on my brothers account, doing the weekly heroic strike so he could acquire strange coins in order for him to buy the last word too. (he couldn't as he was at Dn'D) I did the strike with another hunter who had a shader that was black and white, bittersteel I believe. I asked him if there was a way to earn the shader, when he told me I put my dead orbit cloak back on and haven't taken it off since. Since that time I've gone from rank 3 to rank 22 to no avail. Often times i'll play Destiny from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep. Which has flipped my sleeping cycle, several times. I just rep farm, all day. That's all I do. I've lost about five pounds, I haven't showered, my book hasn't gained ANY headway. I understand that this has more to do with my behavior, after all nobody is putting a gun to my head and not letting up untill i GET the shader. And I am fully aware that this is just the nature of RNG. Not to say that good fortune hasn't smiled upon me. I've gotten 3 exotic weapons (A second 'last word', Thunderlord, and the Vex Mythoclast.) and all since I started my grind for one of the dead orbit shaders. Alothough I'm happy to have them, I certainly wasn't WORKING for them. I've been WORKING for a black and white armour shader. But you need to understand. The dichotomy and harmony of black and white is an OBSESSION for me, I special ordered a black and white controller (Which I have plans of putting a dead orbit logo onto.), my room has two white walls and two black walls, which have posters and a painting of black and white spirals, I begged my dad for the call of duty ghosts poster hat he got for pre ordering the game. My curtains are black on the inside and whit on the outside. i have two blankets on my bed, a black and a white. Like, you could come into my room and be like, ""Where'd allthe color go? And what's that smell?" And i'd be like "I haven't showered, DO YOU KNOW WHAT A SHADER IS???" I uh.... I really want a D.O.shader, any one of them. like. Could someone at bungie send me one inthe mail? or like make the shaders available for purchase after like lvl 10? It makes me sad everytime I rank up just to get something I already have instead of the thing i've put a month and a half (I think?) into. Much love for all you do, Bungie. ~Raven.
