Not sure if this has been discussed prior to this post, but is it me or are we being ripped off with loot chests?
It's like the ultimate 'gotcha' in the game. Some are out in the open but others are pretty obscure and hidden, so it takes some time to find them. Then when you see those beautiful neon green lights, and start to think about the awesome riches that are in the chest you risked your life for by jumping out of bounds or finessed your way onto that ledge with the drop into nothing, only to pop the top and get a couple spinmetal/helium/spirit bloom/relic iron and if your lucky a blue engram. -.-
Most of the time you probably only get a couple material and a green item that breaks down for 12 glimmer...really guys!! It's a loot chest...give us some real loot. We don't want to be wasting our time hunting this crap down for chump change and one or two materials. Make it worth it! No wonder people just walk away when I dance/shoot/point/wave them over to a chest...lol.
I'm thinking the guy that bought the chest and put 40 glimmer of stuff in it with 2 spinmetal must have spent his real fortune on the chest itself...he had nothing left to put in it?! Even in the raid...3-6 Ascendant materials or a crappy class specific armor piece that does absolutely nothing but look like a crappy piece of cloth or a semi-noticable armband...that's crap rewards for the time spent and risk of life. My sparrow & ship need fuel, my guns need ammo, my armor is outdated, and my ghost hasn't had a meal in forever...how's a guardian supposed to survive on these meager rations?!
