What's up with the Dark Below Rares?
So what's the point in having new rare items? Are these new Rare guns upgradable? I've been holding on to my Strangers rifle on hopes of one day seeing it evolve like a Magikarp into a Gyarados.
Since the DLC was release I've been playing strike playlist like crazy and receiving some nice looking Rare weapons that seem to have potential. I don't see the point in having new Rare weapons outside of Crucible use. Please share your thoughts.

The new Rares are almost as good as the old legendaries.

I have some really good rare drops on strikes today 294 top damage and great perks make them better than some legendaries. IMO.
