Add Matchmaking, damn it!
I'm up to my wits end without raid/weekly/nightfall matchmaking. This shits driving me -blam!-ing mad. All day long it's been nothing but a goddamn headache!
The Raids enough damn work, don't make me work just to get inside! Most weeks I won't even bother with the weekly or Nightfall on my alts (And sometimes my main) because I despise having to go to the forums, post around for members, wait for replies and friend requests, invite everyone and so on.
Already you can assemble a team and hop into anything, but for a team oriented game it's amazes me how there's no matchmaking in most aspects of it.
Most of this content I have experienced alone, and leveling up my first character I was sorely disappointed, and extremely lonely. The whole time all I could think of was getting through the story as quickly as possible so that I may get to the social parts of this game, which surmounted to nothing more than a few strikes on repeat.
This game will never be as big as it wants to be, or as big as it tries to appear, without matchmaking in all aspects of this game. Damn it, even the TOWER has matchmaking for its lobby. You don't ever see anyone "looking for 15 people, for the Tower."

Why do people think it's good theres no matchmaking, because there's for sure to be people quitting because your losing or you have people under leveled? matchmaking matches you with similar levels, and hey guess what? If you don't want to be matched with random people, don't use the damn matchmaking! Get your own super elite group of elite awesome fake online friends and do a raid every FACKING night three times in a row plus one multiplied by three. If there's matchmaking for everyone, anyone can do it, if you don't want to be subjected to the filthy masses, you don't have to be. There's no reason not to have it. Just like there's no reason to have weeklies and night falls locked out to non dlc folks lol. And since there's is no matchmaking why the blammity blam blam didnt they put in some sort of lfg system, or a simple facking chat systems, what the serious fluck? In. An. MMO.

2 RepliesI agree with nightfall and heroics but the raid I'm glad there is no matchmaking, I would drop out more often than not getting matched with 28s doing the VOG on hard without a mic it would be more of a nuisance than a help

My intention isn't to start a flame war, because lord knows this is a heated subject (I don't know why), but I can't take this, I'm worn out. I don't want to argue about this anymore, but I find myself being drawn further and further away from Destiny when I know this is a process I will have to repeat week after week, just to access it's core content. Like I said, games are meant to be relaxing, challenging, fun, but when I have to go through this shit just to experience it then that's a issue. I feel like a damn paper pusher just trying to get things moving, except I'm not getting paid for my time.

If you ever manage to find people to help you, send them a friend request. It doesn't mean you have to join them every time you play but at least you can have them there. Why people finish the raid happy it went smoothly and then go their separate ways is beyond me. Ok i guess going through with only dying as a group once (gorgon) was awesome but we don't want to do again together ever again?

1 ReplyFrom what I've watched, those Raids take a ton of coordinated effort. Getting thrown in with five random people just wouldn't cut it. I'm all for matchmaking on Nightfalls and Weeklies, though.

Edited by Saxifraga: 12/12/2014 7:26:24 AMIt's done on purpous. The most rewarding mission should be the least easy accessible so your progress gets slowed. This is a game that needs you to be slowed down, because there is not much content in it. But the raid really is not managable with 5 randoms I think. Bungie just had to copy games like Phantasy Star Online. But they have to spread out the content and bully people into buying the DLC.

3 RepliesIt's never taken me more than 20 minutes to find a group. Matchmaking would be a horrible idea, people without mics, horrible gear, going AFK, etc. people would the start asking BUNGIE to make the raid easier because they can't ever beat it. And don't let me get started on the amount of rage quitters xD no one would stick around for the multiple hours it takes to be a raid.

1 ReplyI'm not sure why people say no match making, if you don't like it don't use it. Once it's there we all no you will. Match making should be a lobby where you can chat and decided who stays and who goes before starting up. Simple things like vote to kick and vote to replenish ranks.
