With the recent outage(which still isn't working) for PSN Friend Search in which no one is able to locate new friends I would like to propose a petition for Bungie to add in-game matchmaking. This outage effectively removes the ability of third party external websites such as DestinyLFG.net to function meaning NO ONE can find randoms for groups even if provided their PSN name. This is UTTER BULLSHIT and wouldn't be a problem if Bungie had done the right thing and included in-game matchmaking in their game in the first place. Please add in-game matchmaking! Even if its just a LFG menu/board where people post their profile and others can add them to their fireteam!
Feel free to include your opinion below and reasoning after voting!

let's saaay... you get matched up with 5 strangers for the Vault of Glass. 3 of whom play together regularly and joined in as a Fireteam, 1 who is an old fart who has miraculously made it to lvl 25 and still hasn't figured out that he has jump jets, so he only ever jumps once, and his aim sucks... and 1 is a 10 yr old hyperactive kid who thinks HE should have the relic any time it appears, yet he is the lowest level player on the team, and is utterly incompetent in using the relic... ** Do YOU want to be the 6th man on that team? ** I guaranTEE that the 3 man organized team will be out of there before you've even opened the front door. Quitting due to the frustration at the unorganized chaos and futility of it all. because you've been trying for over an HOUR to get it open! THIS is why matchmaking for the Vault of Glass will never happen. The Vault of Glass is a long and difficult mission, and if the GROUP does not work well together, it will take FOREVER, be a HORRIBLE experience, and the group will never finish. How is this going to be a good experience for you? As for "Friends" and "Strangers". I have 8 pages of "Friends" I play with. 3 or 4 have become actual friends over time, we regularly run Strikes and missions together. The other 79 people in my "Friends" list ARE strangers, whom I have played rounds with, and have found to have personalities and play-styles that mesh well with mine. I have "Friend"ed several players in the Tower or on Patrol, only to run a Strike, or unfortunately, the VoG with, and then removed them from my list because we didn't mesh well. And that's OKAY. They will find others to play with that they DO mesh well with, and they will have fun running the endgame and future content with them. Destiny is a Social game, a Shared World Shooter. BE social, SHARE the world, meet new people, maybe even make a Friend!
