If this is one of Eris's teams weapons you can see why they didn't make it! Got this from a raid chest and my mate go it from the nightfall, wow, I'm a hand cannon/sniper user so feel totally at home with iron sights and zoom but wow, seriously, I cannot fathom how bad this is sorry bungie... I will however give some useful feedback and how to improve it mixed with a rant. 1. Useless Perks a ) Ballistics, why does this even matter on a bolt action with a 3 second unskippable animation? b) Mulligan, missing a shot returns to mag on a 5 mag sniper? Seriously, this is a perk when the reload is just as fast as the bolt animation? c) Lightweight - Lightweight?? Lightweight??? On a sniper rifle where you move slowly around cover, holy crap. d) Snapshot - Okay *slow clap* you did one thing right here, that would be useful if the gun was good. e) The Master "Increased precision damage. Kills briefly increase damage against next target." - Well, yeah on a sniper that is not a OHK to the body, and still not a OHK... PvP is a OHK to the head and too slow if you don't hit the head so... Then theres the lens flare from iron sights.... erm what? The clunky sights, this is a collectors item, not a weapon to use in your exotic slot, let alone the primary too. I have no use for this other than aiming practice. I can give you some ideas that would improve it but still, wow its bad... 1. If it has to be this slow, make it hit like a truck and stagger enemies (even with angry on) 2. OHK to the body in PvP would make people try using it more. 3. No Lens flare/fit a proper scope 4. Perks like: Primary Mod = a) Outlaw - Extremely fast chambering/reload after precision kill. Stat Mods = a) Custom Optics - Glass Eye/No giveaway (Actual scope or no lens flare with iron sights) or b) High Caliber Rounds - Boosts flinch effect of shots Exotic Mod = No Life Beyond - Body shots that don't kill stun/blind enemies (for the same amount of time as the bolt animation giving you a chance at a headshot) Edit: I'm guessing the gun was modelled on this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauser_1918_T-Gewehr So maybe if it one shotted Fallen walkers in public events it would be way more fun haha!

I know exactly how to make using this gun worthwhile, this would be a simple addition that would make me want to use it. Whenever you get a precision kill with this gun, your character needs to say "yyyyyaaaaeeehaawwwwwww" so that any player around you can hear it. That's all I need this weapon to do.

Just got it myself, and this gun is bad because it has no ammo, give it like 30 or some really high number of reserve ammo and it would be a fun fun to use. Definitely a trophy weapon right now tho

Yup. Bolt action reload needs to be faster, but other than that, I think its perfect. Its a PRIMARY SNIPER. Needs to be a lil underpowered. But.... I. WANT. THIS. GUN. I love iron sights

Agreed. No Land Beyond is really, really, really bad.

Let go through and list some of the problems again, please correct me if I missed anything: •Fire rate is slow, but is to be expected from a bolt action. •The iron sight makes up too much much of she screen, and ruins target acquisition. •The "iron sight" zooms in, which only makes matter worse. •Lens flare? •Ammo reserves is too small, and armor perks don't hang this. •In PvE there are no ammo drops, almost as though you're running with the Juggler modifier on at all times. •Second tier perks/nodes are useless, lightweight/snapshot/flared mag well. •Bolt lag is longer than reload speed. That's all that I can think of at the moment. But I'll be the first to say this is one of the two exotics I wanted from the DLC, the other being Drangon's Breath, and I was throughly disappointed. I was so extant when I received it from a game of Crucible, and it was a huge let down. The Master node would make this an amazing boss slayer in PvE however once you've fired all 32 rounds, you're dead in the water. In Crucible, you've got one shot and that's it, mainly because that's all the fire rate allows for. As it sits now it is a broken weapon. It wouldn't even make a decent low tier special weapon, not to mention a primary weapon. So I propose a few changes: For PvE: •Increase ammo reserve, at least on part with hand cannons. •Fix ammo drop rate. (Add ammo drops) •Reduce iron sights OR remove zoom. For PvP: •Increase bolt speed OR add precision damage to body, for one shot kills. •Reduce iron sights OR remove zoom. •Remove lens flare, there is no lens, therefore there should be no lens. •Ammo isn't as big over an issue for PvP. So there you have it guys, my first impressions of No Land Beyond. As it sits now it's completely useless.....unfortunately. Please tell me what I missed, or what you think should change.
