So the exotics are all the rage on the forums today, but I think the new system of purchasing legendary equipment with marks AND a commendation is terrible. This is all to slow down progression for those who just hit lvl 20 recently or in the near future. Currently, I am rank 9 with warlock vanguard, does that mean I'm going to receive 9 commendations? Probably not. Why isn't this a bigger issue to people than exotics, which at least you get to keep! What about the legendary weapons, those don't get to be upgraded, you're going to have to buy brand new ones to get more damage out of them, and before you do that you have to rank up with reputation. Earlier Bungie had hinted at new ways to reach light lvl 30, if its just in regards of upgrading the inventory of vendors with items of higher attack or defense then adding the restriction of commendations is the worst idea, even worse than the one regarding exotics. The way it is currently is not something that needs to be fixed.
