Super Good Advice should talk.
The lore behind smart weapons such as SGA say that they would develop their own personalities. Whats the point of making the exotic bounty for SGA seem like its talking to you if it doesn't put out a snappy comment every time I blow of a Dreg's head with it? Bungie, please make SGA talk in-game. That would make it one of the coolest exotics in the game.

1 ReplyI don't know what to say. My SGA talks to me all the time. All my guns do. Also my controller, shoes, cabinet, and dog. They tell me to burn things.

Super good advice should give great but yet obvious advice while other exotics like Bad Juju should be blood thirsty and crazy.

Also, it should laugh at kills and that laugh should escalate towards hilarity for each additional multikill (PvE included). Also, it should mock what my opponents are wearing and mock game design elements occasionally. Basically, the gun should be Deadpool. Edit: Oh, and everyone should be able to hear it. Especially in Crucible.

16 RepliesIf they're going to do this (and I'm begging that they will) their is only one thing I request Patience and Time - Morgan Freeman I just have the idea that when you zoom in, he starts narrating on and on about what you see in the game. Just like he's narrating a story, but it's sort of going down for real instead. I'd be dying of laughter just listening to him going on and on.

3 RepliesAbso-frucken-lutely The talking and screaming weapons in Borderlands 2 were some of my favorites. Every stage of the bounty mentions something about a talking weapon. So why doesn't it ever ACTUALLY say anything... It's called Super Good Advice, so it should tell you things about enemie weaknesses or alert you when chests are nearby. Hell, even if it's not useful it should atleast say something.

1 ReplyI think it's a good idea, but quickly sga's dialogue would become repetitive and irritating no doubt, which sucks :/ Kinda like a shotgun I had in borderlands 2 :)

Maybe have it place text in the bottom of the screen so it would be talking but wouldn't actually have to pay a voice actor, it could randomly tell stories of the fall or about people or give backstory if you are standing around or paying attention.

I could imagine someone like Ricky Gervais playing SGA's voice. "And another Dreg falls. I blame the schools."

what could be good is that when enemies near, it will tell you if they are not crouching. Deaths give compliments. Headshots be praised. Wasted mags be lead to insult or scorn, hiding scorned, no shields tells you to duck and hide or something, and snappy remarks to fallen enemies
