i remember watching this so long ago and getting so excited at the end when that epic song starts playing!! oh man i really hope a lot of this somehow finds its way back into the game! its funny to see all the speculation from back then and what it came to be.
Edit- Just want to put it out there that this is not a jab at bungie or a complaint topic. This video is over a year old before the game even came out so obviously some stuff did or didn't make it into the final game. I posted it because of the hope i have for this game and because i think theres thousands of people out there who used to follow this games inception and progress into a final product like me. Some things don't make sense and are disappointing that they didn't make it into the final version,but the nostalgia this video gives will mean something to me for a long time. i hope all of you enjoy it the way i do.

7 RepliesI remember that and more. You have successfully reminded me of three things. 1. Why I preordered Destiny. 2. Why I quit Destiny. 3. Why I will never touch another title from Bungie or Activision ever again. It sucks too. I really wanted to give them a chance at redeeming this into the game that they portrayed; but every patch just shows me that whoever is making the decisions has no love at all for games or gamers: only the money that can be made from selling the former to the latter.

Content was truly cut in order to be sold as future DLC. 2. Intended DLC was used to showcase the game prior to launch; with knowledge that people would preorder the game based on these representations. Either of these are equally nefarious offenses. The only way that this could be redeemed is if this content will be included in [b]free[/b] future updates. However; as we are dealing with Activi$ion, that seems unlikely.

1 ReplyAfter seeing that trailer, it made me realize why everyone was mad. I barely watched any of the trailers but that youtube overview really blew me away. Theres all kinds of stuff that was data mines and should be in the game but isn't. I swear if we don't get space ship battles or free roam space adventures by the next expansion, I'm going to be mad.

Yeah we got Destiny'd good... The 10 year plan made it sound like maybe 2-3 discs with a shitload of WOW-style DLC, not what seems like2 expansions with a new game disc every 2yrs...

Most of this shit is in the game. Moreover this isn't a trailer. It isn't a promotional video. It's IGN speculating. Bungie didn't produce this, IGN did.

Oh wow did the final game ever fall short of these hype trailers. I know that's typical of games these days, but this one just seemed to hurt a lot more.
