Hideo Kojima is the Sheperd of modern gaming.
While, other developers and publishers are pushing out broken pieces of shit that copy every other game on the face of the planet good old Hideo Kojima keeps pushing back there game because they want it to be perfect. Other game developers *cough Bungie cough* release short games that don't have much content and -blam!- gamers over by just hiding DLC in the game. Meanwhile HJ's making MGS5 so big it might not even fit on console. Sure Ground Zeroes price was ridiculous but they wanted to show everyone how amazing it would be, because we won't actually be getting the perfect amazing game for a while.
tl;dr Japanese game developers blow shitty western developers out of the water cause for them it's all about the game.

1 ReplyBlizzard is pretty good as well. I'm not a WoW player, from what I've seen their work is really good, and I know they recently scrapped a huge project just because it wasn't perfect. While they already make insane profits, it's respectable to see a company pull out of a game just because it doesn't fit their fan's high expectations. Something Bungie should have done, not saying it's Activision's fault or Bungie's, but you cannot look at the shipped copy of Destiny and think that it met Bungie's track record. Same with Halo: Reach.

MGS5 looks so good. But sure there's games that sucked this year like destiny but it's almost 2015 and maybe people will get it together. Games like batman Arkham knight and the division look spectacular. Bloodborne looks really nice too and it's a Japanese game.

A majority of Japanese game developers (except Kojima and Miyamoto) aren't as good as they used to be.
