Did you miss the common sense that people would not like all their work invalidated by being forced to reset current gear Why did you not the see the easy answer to this problem Exotics/Legendaries previously dropped may be upgraded to post expansion by doing X (Xur item w/e) When you reset an item it goes back to being set to no XP. HOWEVER All upgrades cost 1 gilmer and you do not need to spend resources again to upgrade them so long as the previous item had that upgrade. + Faster Leveling System New items post patch are spawned have new base lines. This single handly fixes the complaints you are having.
