Why not reward people who have devoted months to their exotics?
Bungie, you say that people should identify themselves with their exotics and the stories they tell... So why make it so that some fresh 22 with a random engram drop on tuesday gets a tier 2, more powerful version of my maxed tier 1 icebreaker or gallajorn that I've been terrorizing the darkness for months with?
Why do I get punished for having a storied exotic, and rookies get the new hotness for free?

Then as you so put it just like the "ROOKIE" if you are blessed by the rng gods and you get a new exotic it will be the nl"NEW HOTNESS" and you will have your old maxed out exotic as your "REWARD" and them Damn "ROOKIES" will never be able to get that "REWARD"! In less you were meaning that you feel you should get something for free because you was one of the luckier people to have the rng drop something in your favor and now you might not be as lucky the second time around so it's unfair to do this to you? And if that's the case then you sir can FVCK 0FF because you don't deserve anything more than the next person.

4 RepliesYou have been rewarded. You've been ROCKING it in missions/strikes/iron banner with super sweet weapons that have perks normal legendaries do not have. Are you honestly telling me you never felt like you had an edge due to one of your exotics? That you could've fared JUST as well with a legendary? (using the community agreed GOOD exotics as example only) You aren't getting punished. A "rookie" as you put it will have to first GET said exotic and then PURCHASE said exotic upgrade path. You only have to purchase the upgrade path if you WANT to max it to 323. Otherwise, it already has the perks you like and you can continue to use it fine for a slightly reduced damage against 30th + mobs.

Listen if you are a loser enough to play for as long to have any maxed out weapons, you should have no problems upgrading your new ones. you were rewarded with the damage they did this whole time you were using them. now you will still be able to continue to use them. you also have the same exact odds of getting the exotic drop you mention.

1 ReplyThey didn't explain it well enough but have done now, game informer said it would cost 7 strange coins aswel as a shard and 7k glimmer but were wrong I think? Plus they never mentioned it will start at a higher power then before so it's no way near a bad as we thought. I'm doing 10 bounties on 2 characters and not handing them in until either xur sells a upgrade for my weapon or armour of choice.

Why not give me raid boots? Because this game sucks ass dude. You know what I get for doing the raid on normal and hard? -blam!-ing energy! I had 300 before the update then I spent a little and now I'm back at 250! This raid armor to hit lvl 30 is a joke

1st - People don't have to do this right away. They can get their nightfalls out of the way...attempt the raid., etc, before resetting their exotics. 2nd - If you do decide to reset your weapons, they will start at 300 so it will not affect your damage output, although you'll lose perks 3rd - Unconfirmed reports that experience required to level has been decreased 4th - Tear
