Bungie 12/1 Update... is a letdown when it comes to the Crucible
When I first started playing Destiny, especially the Crucible, I expected great things... Four weeks later and two updates, I am still appalled.
My first rounds in the Crucible were with a few lvl 10's or 15's and below with a few at lvl 30. At that point I became very frustrated with the Crucible since I did not have the selection of gear that the higher levels did. When I hit lvl 15 and upgraded my fusion rifle I began to notice a slight improvement, coupled with a better auto rifle I seem to be able to compete with lvl 20's to 25's.
Now at lvl 27 myself, prior to the update, I could keep up with the best of them, even though I do not have have any exotic gear. The lvl 30's with the exotic weapons could walk over me, but I could dish it out almost just as much.
Subsequent to this update, still with no exotic weapons or gear, I can't take out a lvl 30 out unless I sniped him from across the map and he/she did not see me.
A SEVERE weapon an armor unbalance remains in the Crucible, possibly worse than before. The matchmaking is absolutely horrendous and there needs to be a true REVAMP of the dynamics. Character lvl, armor stored in inventory, and weapons in inventory need to be considered and players need to be matched accordingly. Yes, the exotic weapons have their place and purpose; however, a player should not get dominated because he doesn't have access to the same resources. Where is the sport in that?
If these issues and matchmaking formulas don't get resolved, I am afraid Bungie is going to find many people walk away from the Crucible, if not Destiny all together. As it currently sits, the multiplayer gameplay is... lacking is a nice way to put it.

1 ReplyHahahahahahahahahahahah. Thanks for the laugh Here's the problem. You have a 0.97 kd. You want to have a 2+kd for free. U don't want to earn the skill. Bungie has already given players like yourself ample opportunity with how easy it is to get kills. You just gotta accept that you aren't a top tier player. You will never feel like a badass in the crucible because you die more often than you get kills (definition of a kd below 1.0) Stick to pve. All the 'pve players' are just 'bad crucible players' in disguise. Tee hee.

It put it major work. It was thanks to that weapon that I decided exotics aren't necessary. I just got two recently, but I mainly rely on my Raid gear.

By that you mean you suck at crucible and need an excuse for it, so you try a route that nobody has done yet and blame it on levels. While they can make a difference, it's not nearly as extreme as you make it sound and unless it's Iron Banner, I don't even look at levels most of the time. Instead of focusing on why it's not fair and why you should be so specially catered too, despite plenty of low levels dominating in crucible, maybe practice a bit more, and if that doesn't work just grind out higher gear to see for yourself that levels don't change it that much.

I came top in my team As a lvl 5 warlock the rest were lvl 30s it all depends on skill which by being lvl 30 won't always buy

27 RepliesNone of this patch was a PvP buff so the fact you can't compete now shows your lack of skill crucible removes attack and level advantages so you just don't have the skill obviously

3 RepliesBungie cant add human error, internet connection, or just plain PVP skill as perks. People are habitual, learn your opponents habits and take advantage. Its like everyone who dies in PVP gripes because they want to be on top of a mountain, UAV active, holding a nuke, with absolute no chance of dying. If anything it should make you want to be better.....

Some exotics so more damage. For example: ice breaker does 175 body shot Praedyths does 110

All weapon damage is equal in cruci. It's just the perks that make a difference. Only in iron banner it's all different.

I think it's great for the people that put the time in to earn strange coins or earn exotics! I am a lvl 30 and I think like cod my level should matter at least a little bit and I think this is a good way to make that happen

But character level and armor don't matter in pvp? I mean unless you ONLY pvp in this game idk how you don't have exotics, especially through Xur, or in fact any semblance of a decent legendary arsenal. I understand that matchmaking doesn't always pair decent players together and by God I still wish we had custom games, but imo it's not imbalanced right now

I did great with that lvl 1 white weapon that everybody had access to...

1 ReplyJust because you dont have the time to play the game as much as many of us do doesnt mean its bungies fault, theyve noticed a majority of players are starting to hit 30 (or 29 and 1 piece away) and are starting to change things for the better, i get you probably have more important things to do in life but many of us have plenty of time to kill between classes etc so why would you want them to take away the good theyve done to appeal to the players that dont play very much (which is what theyve been doing since launch)

2 RepliesStop complaining and grind like the rest of us. I'm so tired of everyone complaining about exotics if you can't get them your not grinding hard enough. They want you to play they aren't going to give hand outs all I hear is people whining and complaining they don't have raid gear or raid weapons and even exotics. Start grinding and get off the forum if you want to get somewhere in the game. To conclude I don't like the crucible because I am a firm believer in the iron banner I am level 30 and it is ridiculous that a level 10 or something has the power to kill me with an uncommon or a white weapon.

This whole post sounds like somebody who isn't that good crying because they aren't that good. For the thousandth time because you can't grasp this in the other posts you've gotten, everything is leveled out in crucible. A level 7 with green armor has the same health as a level 30 with exotic armor. The biggest difference is you haven't unlocked all the abilities of your subclass at that point. But running crucible at that early a stage is a personal choice. Don't bitch because you chose to do it then sucked. The MM is fine, crucible is fine.

The idea of the game is that you play both PVE and crucible, if your struggling in the crucible do some raids , hand in all the bounties at once get better do you can go back to kicking ass, other people have earned better gear so they perform better

4 RepliesUhhh crucible = lv 7 with green auto and white shotty can murder everyone. Iron banner = lv 30 pwn no matter what. Crucible is a lv playing field for all. Im sorry you had a misrepresentation of the crucible a lot of people had high hopes for this game and were let down due to tue fact destiny was the biggest example of false advertising on the planet. But hang in there. Its still a great game of u let it.

7 RepliesEdited by Adam: 12/2/2014 9:42:13 AMSome amazing legendary weapons that anyone can get: ARs: Vanquisher, Shadow Price SRs: Vision Of Confluence, A.1F19X-RYL (3 shot kill) HCs: Lord High Fixer, The Devil You Know, Fatebringer PRs: The Stranger's Rifle (seriously, try this!), Praedyth's Timepiece, Bad Seed Down FRs: Light Beware, The Calming (FWC) Sniper: Epitaph (It's amazing) LMG: The Swarm (3 shot kill), Deviant Gravity (DO) Any combination of these weapons, when used well, can match, or even trump exotics.

There is no level advantage in crucible
