Pocket Infinity Bug After Update 1.1

Recently, Update 1.1 went live for Destiny and altered many Exotic weapons. This post is intended to provide proper insight towards the recent Pocket Infinity bug. After reading the patch notes earlier today, I was looking forward to using the Pocket Infinity in hope that the increased magazine capacity (now at 5) would somewhat resemble its original glory. While running through the daily heroic, I noticed a sever inconsistency with many aspects of the weapon, particularly the charge rate. I continued using it in an attempt to identify a pattern in the weapon's unusual behaviour. Let's review how the Pocket Infinity worked before Update 1.1, shall we? - holding the trigger would initiate the charging sequence, which was much longer on the PI than other fusion rifles - the first shot in a burst would deal moderate impact and range, with the ability to one-shot in PVP at close range - if the trigger was not released, all remaining shots in the magazine would fire consecutively with negligible charge time - to compensate for the automatic firing ability, all consecutive shots had drastically reduced impact and range, coupled with tremendous recoil - if the weapon was reloaded or if the trigger was released at any time, the firing sequence would reset; all steps listed above would start again from the beginning Now let's compare that to how the Pocket Infinity works after Update 1.1: - after spawning/respawning, holding the trigger will initiate the typical lengthy charge sequence, with the first shot dealing more damage - however, any rounds fired after the initial shot will fire in automatic mode at the reduced damage regardless of the weapon being reloaded or the trigger being released - there are only two ways to reset the firing sequence, either by dying and respawning, or by switching to another special weapon in your inventory and switching back to the PI I've linked a YouTube video to help display how the Pocket Infinity works after the update. I did not upload/create this video, all credit goes to the uploader. In the video, you can see how the weapon only fires regularly immediately after respawning. When the player fires again at any time during that same life, the weapon shoots permanently in automatic mode with reduced impact and increased recoil. Perhaps something went wrong when tweaking this weapon, as I'm led to believe that this is an unintentional bug rather than an intended occurrence. The Pocket Infinity was great fun even with a 3-round magazine. However, the permanent automatic mode/reduced damage/increased recoil makes the weapon nearly unusable. In its current state, the Pocket Infinity is outclassed by practically every other fusion rifle above rare quality. Update: Thank you all for your continued support and positive feedback of this post. Bungie is aware of this issue and is investigating a fix. Also, thank you to the user Gimme Your Hair for bringing this to our attention.
