In-Game Volume

Don't know if this has been discussed or if anyone else has a problem with it but, why can't we adjust in-game volume? I understand people with the Gold headsets can adjust in-game volume and what not, but what about the people who don't? I'm pretty much always forced to play in a party chat on PS4 because I can't hear my teammates speaking in game when anything explodes or shoots. I'm just confused as to why this option wasn't added, an option that has pretty much been in every console game under the sun since 2001...

  • Yep. A lot of people are bringing this up and getting no response. Even a "I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain" would be nice. What's the big secret? There are far less important suggestions that didn't have to wait months for any type of brief acknowledgement. It's admirable that Bungie is trying to keep the communication channels open with the community via this forum, but there's something to be said for the traditional helpdesk-like functionality of the support staff in most major MMOs, where even if you aren't thrilled by the reply, at least you'd get an email from someone within a day or two. I'm not blaming DeeJ or anyone in particular - no one should be expected to spend their whole day on the forums responding to every topic. This is clearly a systems or organizational issue; not a personnel issue. On the other hand, historically speaking, in most games you just got what you got and you had to live with it, so at least there's hope for change here. On the other other hand, like the OP said, most games for the last 15 years have come with basic volume settings at launch. Especially games that are reliant on voice chat for teamwork.
