Ok as an avid Esports fan I see posts time to time saying how destiny could never be a in MLG or be an Esport. I feel this is very over exaggerated and its very clear that destiny could be not only a very balanced and competitive but also very fun to watch. One if the biggest problems people have with destiny being an Esport is people say that since items are RNGed and there are 6 sub-classes there is no way Pro play could be balanced since not everybody will have the same access to weapons and gear. This problem has already been met and addressed in one of the most popular Esports in the world ATM, League of Legends. In LoL, well before the game every starts, there are well over 100 champions, 3 different mastery trees you can spec into and so many runes only the most dedicated players could come close to being them all. LoL Esports found a simple solution to this problem. They gave the Pro players accounts that can only be played on there private servers. these account have 100% of the game unlocked for them. so they can use anything in the game that want, even if they don't have it unlocked in the real game. Destiny could use a system like this but with a few Tweaks. 1. Every player get an account with every Subclass fully unlocked. 2. These account would only be able to be accessed on the Special Esports server set up for events. 3. all these accounts have unlimited Vault space. 4. Before the game starts, players put in a list of every weapons they need to play this game. these weapons can have any perks and upgrades that would normally available on that Gun( EX. Hawkmoon can only have it standard load out, but any legendary could have any perks it would normally get it in RNG) next people say Destiny could never be competitive because they don't have a good gamemode to play competitively. idk why people say this because in all honesty destiny has the perfect gamemode for this. its Control. Not only does control offer a controlled gamemode that can show a lot of teamwork but also over many strategies for team to take. Last I'm going to explain who the format of the games and a good way to see who this game would work. 1. Matches are a best of 3 2. At the start of every match there is a coin toss. The winner of the coin toss get to pick of they want to pick what map they play on or pick if they are Alpha or Bravo team. 3. After the maps and player sides are decided, each teams gets a set amount of time to go back to pick what subclasses, weapons and gear they are taking into the match. 4. Once each team is ready, that match is played. 5. after the match concluded the losing team gets to pick if they want to choose the map or if they are alpha or bravo. 6. repeats steps 3-5 until the best of 3 is over. I think this would work. What does everybody else think?
