Bottom pic: Dodge Viper GTS
Both cars, I think, are the most gorgeous looking cars American companies have ever made. They're both great performance wise also. I have always loved both of these cars my whole life.
The Corvette is obviously more popular, outselling the Viper mainly because its cheaper and more well known. The Viper gets put under the radar while its older brothers, the Challenger and Charger, mainly grab all the attention. Not to mention the Viper costs nearly 40k more than the Corvette. Ridiculous right?
Anyway, which do you think is the ultimate American sports car? For me its too hard to choose. I love em both.

I hate Chrysler, but I've always had a soft spot for the Dodge Viper. One of the few American super cars. Plus a v10? Shits awesome. All that aside though I'd take a late 60's SS Chevelle any day.

Ford GT destroys them both but they don't make them anymore. OT: I would pick the Viper. Car and Driver did a test and the Viper came on top of everything but braking. Plus Chevy is a government dickrider.

Well the price point for the Viper aside, I believe it's a better car statistically. (Fact check me, I'm estimating from my knowledge. It can pull a 1.1 on the skid pad with summer tires) I used to love both whilst being a Viper fan at heart, but the C7 just doesn't look like a Vette. It looks like a Vette got thrown into a blender with Ferrari and a Viper. It's not ugly, it's just not Corvette. It's practically confirmed they're going to Mid-Engine for the C8, that'll be pretty neat to see.
