I'd more then anything like to see fully scripted sparrow/ship races (this would give a legitimate point to having a number of unique ships and bikes). By "fully scripted" I mean I'd like to make it fit into the destiny universe not just be some random mini game. As in the people of the city are watching it and it has announcers ect ect kinda like starwars pod racing, but with sparrows and ships. the top 3 guardians in the race would win amounts of glimmer based on race standings and all guardians that are racing put in a tribute(amount) to the glimmer pool before the race(so that the game isn't actually handing out any glimmer and this feature can't be exploited for free cash.) this next area is an after thought but still seems fun and viable. I'd also like it if you could bet currencies and resources (strange coins, motes of light, glimmer, ascendant materials) on the racer you think will win. Allowing it to more then just a race and rather an event for players participating and watching from the sidelines allowing for a lot of people to get involved. As for the winner of the race who has been bet on. Him and all of the guardians who bet on him would get the rewards they would already get from the gamble or race but additionally would also gain a small amount of vanguard reputation(only first place winners and his gamblers get this reward) . The story plug for this idea(because I'm the detailed sort lol): After the collapse humanity was down after the loss of all our homes. With tensions between the humans, exo, and awoken at an all time high plus the darkness was closing in on us we needed to be a unit. So something had to be done. As an attempt to calm the citizens and subside tensions the guardians came up with the idea for the games. Thus the sparrow and ship races were born. Since guardians regardless of race were hallowed by the everyone in the city. They felt they needed to act as examples. So to nurture bonds every Guardian always bet on a winner that was not of their race. In preset day most of the strife and issues were gone and the city was peaceful but because of that time. The games became a mainstay in society and races were held across the solar system as something guardians could hone their mobility skills and interact with the city below. Story plug additions: There is a reason I called it the games and not the races. Because it then allows other games to expand off of it. Like for example 1v1 dueling, any crucible mission, Guardian soccer(just because people play with the soccer ball in the tower), Gladiator like boss battles, ect, ect. This is open enough that then you could plug story with the awoken queen and the reef into it with almost no effort.
