Multiple exotic armors equipped
I have recently been thinking about why it is that we can't equip more than one exotic armor piece at a time. I know the automated response is because they are all too good to be equipped at once or that they create too much synergy with each other, but I'm beginning to think this just isn't true.
Let's take the warlock as an example because using 3 exotics with sun singer we can create the "most OP" setup
Using beyond nemisis, sun breakers, and heart of praxic fire you could look like a true phoenix born sungod, but what synergy is there really in this? Longer, stronger solar nades thrown at an alarming rate? Ohh wait, we already do that. Most sun singers have already learned how to use their super in conjunction with a maxed discipline stat to create fields of flame everywhere. Most do this without the HoPF. once you have the synergy out of the way, you have to look at the stats, because perhaps the stats make it too good. light beyond nemisis full upgraded = 93 strength. sunbreakers fully upgraded = 87 intelect. heart of praxic fire fully upgraded = 123 discipline. so in order to make even one of these stats worth a damn, you need boots that have over 100 in one of those stats, but finding boots that have over 100 in 2 stats cant happen, so you arnt ever going to get a great build this way.
Skull or dire akamihra and voidfang vestments is another combo, but again, combining them seemingly doesn't offer anything OP, so why not?

I wish they made it so you could equip 2 exotics but whether that be 1 exotic weapon and and one exotic armor or 2 exotic weapons or 2 exotic pieces of armor is up to the player.

6 RepliesIn my opinion you should be able to use as many exotics as you want on PvE but be limited to one or two in the crucible just for balance problems

It would also eliminate the need for most raid gear parts, which is an entirely different problem on its own. Level 32+ would be meaningless. If you think this is perfectly fair and okay, then you are straight up stupid. I am sorry.

Just want to get this out of the way. I was skimming the threads and when this passed by I first thought it said "Erotic" armors. I hate being between relationships. Anyway Certain armor combinations, while they may seem mundane, would allow outrageous combos to be used. Now these combos in PvE would be powerful but ... understandable. In the crucible however. It would be unfair to those without it.

A perk on the skill tree for +1 or +2 exotics would be cool. Also a perk for titans fot multiple heavies would be cool for pve. We are, after all, supposed to be walking arsenals.

And you do realize stats are randomized on armor? what your shit has means nothing. The guy next to you has better stats on his gear. full exotics = 30 without PvP/Raiding. Close this thread plz.

They're trying to force you to run the raids to level. Simple as that. The bonuses aren't that great for there to be any other reason.

I feel like doing this in PvE is totally fine but it may cause some problems in pvp. There can be some really powerful combos so I think they erred to the side of caution overall. . I hope they implement something in the future to allow us to wear more than one exotic piece in PvE

I saw a trailer recently show a hunter using the "at-st arachnid helmet" that let's yu zoom in with golden gun also having on "Don't touch me",exotic gauntlets that look really kool. I also saw the spin of arhamkara and knucklehead radar being used at the same time in multiple pics.soooo maby.I'm REALLY PRAYING FOR THIS!@!LMAO

3 RepliesI think that if you've reached 30, and bought the dlc then in the next dlc we will be able to equip multiple exotics. The raid gear and IB gear make it to where there is 30 light for each peice which is what exotic gesr does. Since the light level is going up, it wouldn't matter if we had all exotic or not

2 RepliesOverall I agree with the notion that running multiple exotics is not THAT big of a deal but it is certainly an advantage over someone who is only running legendary pieces or only 1 exotic, and even a slight advantage is still unfair in my opinion. Another thing I would like to point out is that the stat values for the gear you mentioned are pretty low, in this game armor pieces have a minimum value and a maximum value for the stats they improve, unfortunately it looks like you have some pretty low rolls on a few of your pieces, for example my HOPF has 147 discipline fully upgraded, my sunbreakers have 90 intellect and I have seen them go as high as 110. If you had a decent set of raid boots or got the ones from iron banner like I did which boost intellect by 63, and discipline 68 you could have a very tough build that gets grenades and supers not quite as often as possible, but much more potent when they do. The other thing to consider is that everyone and their grandma is already complaining that pretty much everyone runs the same layouts as is, if everyone was running only exotics there would only be 2 really distinctly different loadouts. I hate the light level system but I love the exotic system, I think it actually forces strategic thinking to use the 1 piece that benefits your play style the most.

6 RepliesIt would put a spin on build surely. Honestly the whole "Having 1 exotic" is completely retarded in my opinion. It limits the potential of builds to a crippling point. It is basically now "Be the same as everyone else or don't play" Kind of game.

I think some tweaks to how you earn exotic gear would be needed, but I think it would worth changing so we could see some really awesome builds. Might make sense to wait until DLC builds up the exotic arsenal though

Everyone seems to be missing the point, or purposefully ignoring it: there is no logical reason NOT to allow players to equip multiple exotic armors. Even if it meant getting to 30 faster, so what? If you are struggling to get to 30, then you simply arn't doing enough. Being stuck at 29 only has one excuse: never getting the raid boots. Every other item can be substituted. Having 3 exotic items wouldn't have gotten my to 30 any faster, because the boots were still the only thing I was missing at 29.

7 RepliesIncase you don't know. Exotics all don't have the same stat bonuses. I have multiple copies of the same exotic with different boost, strength, intelligence and discipline. For the builds I choose to use. So it is. Possibly to have the best cooldowns in multiple areas. Unlike how you believe each exotic only gives you a guaranteed boost number for a guaranteed specific category. If you actually look around you'll find for example Heart of praxic Fire with different stat boost and #s. Not the guaranteed numbers you suggested.
