Upgrade from Xbox 360 to Xbox One
If I purchase a copy of Destiny now for my Xbox 360, do I have to upgrade to the Xbox One prior to Jan 15 or can I purchase an Xbox One next year sometime (say April for example) and still get the free copy of Destiny at that time? I am unclear weather I just need to purchase the initial game prior to Jan 15 on any console or if I have to make sure I activate the next gen console by that date to qualify for the free upgrade. Thanks.

7 RepliesI am sorry for the delay in answering. I needed to confirm. Luckily, the answer is Yes! When you purchase a digital version of the game or expansion pass on the 360 it will automatically purchase the same item for the XBOX ONE for free. Then you can download it whenever you want. As long as the 360 digital purchase happens before January 15th you can dowload the XBOX ONE version whenever you want. Even after January 15th.
