How Destiny returned me to reality

My dad is like the greatest guy on the planet, does anything for anyone and never asks for anything. He got taken into hospital last week at which point we were under the impression it was just an infection. Unfortunately he phoned me on Monday to inform me it was cancer in his kidney. As a man I respect, admire and love I was broken and distraught. I have 3 kids myself one of whom is only 6 months old, so breaking down and cutting myself off from the world isn't an option. I tried to play a few different titles to calm me but ultimately Destiny numbed my pain long enough to gather my heart and mind. Unfortunately the day after we find out the cancer has spread to his bones and his bladder which means it's not possible to remove it. Distraught again I turned to Destiny and lost myself for a while to restore my sanity. So I guess I just want to thank the Bungie team for creating a tool that has helped me get through the worst possible week of my life.
