Lol, ya nobody wants to invite a lvl 29 to hard raid. And thats the only place to get raid helmet. Great gear progression idea. Why not have full set available on normal to reach lvl 30 so you can hard raid, and give awesome weapons as rewards in hard with tier 2 gear that will give you a jump start on new dlc. I know you can get an exotic helmet, but havent been able to get on my lock and that is all I lack. I refuse to even put shards in my low level legendary because its just a waste. Ive bought the exotic helmet engram every time I had enough motes... 23 seems pretty steep for a random, cause all I get is titan and hunter helms. Got shit for gear in normal as well, finally got chest piece right before last banner week. Didnt really want to pvp in destiny as it is not why I bought the game.... but I battled in banner to rank 5 and did decent and bought everything the lords were selling. So I now have fully upgraded gauntlets, boots and chest piece, but still need a blaming helmet. But hey, I get cool ships from beating atheon that do absolutely not a damn thing to improve my progression. I wish I hadnt had deleted my first ship, should still be sporting that cherry. Overall, I have fun with guys I raid, weekly and farm with, but we get that in other games to. And the loot system is more or less just an ulcer creation device. My favorite thing is when others in my raid party who I do everthing with and run the raid with every week, get their 3rd and 4th piece if armor or icebreaker or gildahorn that they dont need only to be sharded, if its already in blaming inventory then the damn algorithym should award it to someone who actually needs it. I now how 3 characters(you know all this gear I have instorage like exotic helms that I dont want to shard because hell, I might get lucky and get one of the new ones to 30 in 2 weeks), 2 that I raid with and the 3rd almost ready to start raiding just to improve my odds of maybe getting one to 30. Pretty frustrating.
