So because of the unsatisfactory launch of AC: Unity, ubisoft is giving away the first dlc for free, and Season pass holders get to pick a free ubisoft game.
Bungie should do this based on all the bad reviews and error code: bee, anteater, baboon, Insert any animal name here

#Destiny

Here's the key thing. AC was broken as hell when it launched, Destiny wasn't. Sure Destiny had a lot of the story gutted for the sake of greed ( or so we assume ) but mechanically speaking there were few problems. I didn't see any until I hit the raid. Sure it had a lot of promised, or talked about, content removed but play wise it was fine. It behaved like it was intended too.

Honestly every game was a let down this year and everyone who made a big game had to apologize. Even master chief collection publicly apologized already for being glitchy with matchmaking. Then we got all assassins creed stuff, and Far Cry 4 story bein crap and a copy of Far Cry 3 just tweaked. Seems like all game developers are trying to get their stuff out too fast so were getting less and less with more and more bugs I mean assassins creed literally releasing 2 full games within a month of each other? (Unity and Rogue) obviously both are bound to suck
-
Ac unity was unplayable. Destiny didn't meet people's expeditions/requirements. No need for compensation on destiny's part
-
I will repeat: Many guns/armors are coming as part of the free update, so those fancy exotic boots or that sweet rocket launcher will be available to you without the DLC.
-
It's an activision sponsored game. Difference - activision is publicly traded and published tonnes of titles. Also, you will buy the DLC. Ubisoft is a private, Canadian based company.
-
-
Every game is trying to give free DLC now, you can thank Bungie for causing such an uproar with Destiny that other developers/publishers are feeding off it to get a player base before they shaft you with something else.
-
yea, but Destiny was not broke at release...it lacks content yes, but its been very smooth... Complainers just want free shit for feeling entitled...its nothing new.
-
You do know a free lvl 28 raid is coming out right? I have no idea when but it's in the reef and there wasn't any mention or it being in house of wolves or dark below.

Edited by ambient-Isotopy: 11/28/2014 11:02:26 AMI'll admit it could serve as an influential gesture. I'd love if they followed the example of other ip's and decided to expand on its rather flat world.
-
I agree. Square never realeased a game that wasn't ready. Free dlc or gtfo!
-
Does anyone on here know how to use the search feature? Why do we need 100 threads about the same thing? Do your research before you make idiotic posts like this. I haven't even played unity and it took me less than a minute to find out that ubisoft is doing this because they released a broken game, not a game that's lacking content.
-
Canary....
-
I got ant eater before -.-
-
This game is hardly broken. Ac was broken. I've put in many hours everyday and haven't been booted that many times. I think some people have some sh***y internet connection. This game may b lacking but nowhere near the broken game ubisoft put out
-
Again, people seem to forget that the amount of people bitching on the forums is a very, very small amount. Most people playing Destiny really enjoy the game believe it or not
-
Apples to oranges
-
Bungie doesn't care about you only your money
-
Yes, because Destiny was totally broken at launch and nearly unplayable. Plagued by bugs that crashed the game at the main menu, dropped you through the ground if you managed to get into single player, and don't even think about trying to start a co-op session. Bungie also implemented a microtransaction system that they made a priority to fix before more serious actual game breaking bugs. Destiny is more lacking than broken. For most, these errors are few and far between. Not a constant reminder for everyone like in Unity showing how little testing Ubisoft actually did.
-
Wow, you really have no clue do you? The backlash wasn't because the game was bad, this has happened with plenty of other developers and other games. The backlash was because of the trade embargo ending AFTER the game was released. This proved the Uibsoft KNEW the game was garbage, but chose to release it anyway. Whether or not you like Destiny is irrelevant. What is important is that Bungie released Destiny in good faith, and for an online game, amazingly lacking in bugs
-
Yea take a note from ubisoft when you release dark below make sure it has 18 If the richest zoos worth of error codes and then be like oops here's some free shit stfu about it you happy with a 15$ free dlc when they sold you a almost unplayable 60$ game?
-
Or you could fix your internet.... That too....
-
destiny was not broken but it sure is a con
-
But nothing was wrong with destiny when it came out. It just didn't meet people's expectations. Unlike AC Unity, where there where tons of glitches
-
You sir, are a -blam!-ing idiot
-
Ubisoft is shit. Just because they do something right for once doesn't mean we should listen to them.
