I was just kicked for being too young
I was playing the Vault of Glass with some people, and I realized they were Iron Banner 30s. I didn't mention it, but then we got to the gatekeepers. 3 People died every time on the first portal outside. After a few times, I asked them how that was possible, and one instantly started hating on me. He called me a squeaker because I am 13 and haven't hit puberty. We were doing perfect in the raid and we were all laughing at some point. I told him to shut up and he told me,"Sorry, I can't play with someone as young and bad as you." And he booted me. I mean WTF?? We went through it as a team and he ended it there. Why is the community so rude?
Edit 1: We were playing NORMAL with five 30s and one 29, the 29 with me and another 30 in the portal.
Edit 2: Okay, I deleted "fake" because that isn't true, you are correct. They just got 30 a different way than me and have less experience with the raid.
Edit 3: These responses are overwhelming! Was gonna reply and give my thoughts to all of them, but there is no way I can now!

He specifically wanted Crest of Alpha Lupi so he could help team mates. He chose Defender so he could support the team. That said, we were in the raidand a random asked how old my son was. He told him himself, and the guy laughed and said, " Uhh, I dont feel like carrying kids, what level is he?" 29, I replied to the 27 random, just before parting ways with him. See, I dont want to carry a guy who assumes someone is bad due to age. He has completed several exotic bounties older people gripe about, does the nightfall every week, and has done some awesome things in this game. Like saving the rest of us from Phogoth once by slamming a bubble sheild on his head from above and reviving us both. This was hilarious because his eye blast was trapped in the sheild while he stood in that spot. Pretty genius for a 7 yr old. So dont judge a gamer by age. I understand some kids can be annoying, but some are better players because they want to be accepted so they try harder than some others. Case by case is all Im saying. Edit: You guys are awesome. If anyone tries the Phogoth Pacifier ( im naming it that) try to get it on video so others can enjoy it. I cant wait to get home from work and show my son all these replies. Edit 2: Showed my son this thread last night and he didnt really know what to say. He just smiled and said cool. But I could tell you guys made his day. Thanks again for all the kind replies.

Unfortunately a lot of younger players can be very rude, immature, and disrespectful. Are all of them? Of course not. But enough are that it gives all younger players a bad name which is unfortunate. If you weren't doing anything wrong then they definitely should not have booted you like that. I've seen a lot of people get booted from fireteams for all sorts of reasons from not having a headset to not being the "right" class. :/

I'm almost 30. I was a kid when the first halo game came out. It was competitive and there was a moment when it felt like I was the best. Then I grew up a little and it hurts when young kids are kicking you around. I'm over it now, but games mean something and when you get older you just can't compete with faster reflexes. It's his last resort as an aging gamer. Repress what you are scared of.

Those scrubs were wrong to boot you , I've helped some friends take 9 yr Olds through hard N normal raid who play better than most of the community.Therefore if your a real 30.. go out and help other's, set an example don't be a dick.

23 RepliesAlthough this game is rated teen, (a misrating if you ask me) they were right to kick you. You have not yet reached the age of maturity activation (17 years) and therefore should not be playing violent video games. Your mind is very susceptible to violent suggestion.

you need to modify you mic settings to deepen your voice to maximum , during the raid say some mature phrases for example how annoying your wife and kids are , how your job sucks and how much taxes you pay and get nothing in return , then you should be good ;)

To be fair, It's not the others fault the don't want to play with some one that young, and if they don't that's their prerogative. I also don't play with children. Just like i wouldn't go to a random park and sit down with a 13 year old and chill. I am not doing that on xbox live. I have personal boundaries, and feel as an adult I will and should associate with other adults. In real life and online. Besides If i had children, which i don't. My stance is that my 13 yr old child shouldn't be talking to 35 year old men online. Kinda creepy.

Why does it matter if they're iron banner 30's? We worked just as hard for lvl30 gear. I have three lvl 30's two to do with raid one with iron banner

I don't like negativity or unneeded comments in my raid. And you being 13 doesn't help much either. People like positive people. You could of said how can I help you guys? Should we switch the groups going portal? But what do I know, I just smoke weed all day, eat funions, do "research" on the internet.

Are you seriously hating on people who got lvl 30 because of iron banner because they are not as skilled in the raid i dont know about some other 30's but me, i got my iron banner boots because after 32 total raids i couldn't get boots so excuse me for taking the option that was a guarantee for 30 stop hating kid

1 ReplyOnce had an 8 year old kid saying he was soo good.... he started crying after I beat him at 7 different games without him killing me once... (halo, battlefield, mw2 and a few more) it was so funny.... he said he was ranked of soo high. (modded stats on cod) I knew a 5 year old that could kick his ass. Usually young kids lie about performance and don't listen to what you tell them to do. Some of them are stupid too. But honestly the biggest problem is with the parents. Under 10 you should not be allowed to play any Fps shooters or games like gta. Why because there is quite a few kids that get very aggressive thanks to them. Let them play 5 the sims or sth. I understand why some people won't let younger players play with them. Some people suck or just don't listen.
