So...
If I was to tell you that I'm level 30 using 3 pieces from the raid and one piece from the Iron Banner, does that make me a "fake" 30? I'd like to know how it does... legit responses people. I'm not trolling, just asking for opinions.
Edit 1: I forgot I had an exotic chest piece. Either the Lucky Raspberry or the Crest of Alpha Lupi.

Actually it's pretty cool. Otherwise everyone looks the same. I have a full raid set but I got IB boots bc I didn't want to look like everyone else

if you have to ask then in some way it tells that you accept the fact that for some people just full raid gear 30's are "real 30 ... i for myself got IB boots because the raid gear i got was mostly intellect and i wanted to level out all three (intellect, discipline and strength) i also have an exotic helmet since i got none drop in the hard raids i did ... that's all ...

I'm in the same boat, but I could careless what anyone says; after spending all week ranking up three characters in IB, grinding for 80k+ glimmer, and finally getting Goldspiral and 30 on my Hunter after several weeks of the hard raid giving me absolutely nothing I am finally happy and ready for the DLC. Anyone who wants to call me a "fake 30" can, just don't expect me to help you in two weeks when Crota's End drops and you are looking for 30s to carry you because you got your gear through shear luck not skill...

I used to use 3 raid and an exotic and someone called me a fake 30 lol and this was a few weeks ago before the iron banner.. So now I have to only use the raid gear so I don't offend people. -blam!-ing hate this community.

I have full raid gear for my titan but I wear the iron banner arms cause the wolf on them looks way cooler than kabrs raid arms. And I use a scout rifle so might as well have some arms that allow me to reload faster. Doesn't make you a fake, anyone who says that check their stats I bet you're better than them In the raid and the crucible. :)
