It's pretty rad when you meet random helper players. Like when you're farming materials and a guy gets your attention to a chest or such, or like two days ago while playing the raid, two guys high level, sat at the confluxes an killed enemies with us. No words, just a helpful hand and a quick wave, salute, or bow and they're off. You are the one's that make this a better game!!! So for those, my hat is off to you (and I don't like taking my hat off for anybody due to my baldness). Thank you
Nice to see others agree, an pay it forward, keep it up peeps!!! Oh, an sorry I worded it wrong, I meant sync plates, not confluxes
Was pointed out, don't forget you can report players for helpful/ friendly/ highly skilled please do so!!!!!!
For those that play this way ( no biased) add me on friends ps4 Hard_ARRR
I say guyin my posts but I mean it as no offense to any females playing, I'm using it as a generic post

Edited by Barbatos: 11/26/2014 3:16:21 AMI'm that guy when he's out on patrol and spots a loot chest and shows it to nearby players. Now only if we could have a flare gun or special gesture to alert others of our find.

I was doing bounties the other day, saw a team trying to get into the VoG of course I jumped in to help and after a few minutes actually got an invite to join their group! We made it all the way to Atheon and they had to stop for the night. It was a blast, just wish I could have finished.

If anybody would care to help... I need to get my lvl 12 titan to 20.

Edited by Twelve Gauge: 11/27/2014 2:38:58 AMFarming helium one day i took notice of player there farming as well, we were going opposite directions so i just went about my route. After a couple minutes farming i started seeing bullets fly by me but, they were coming from a spot i had just checked that had no chest or materials so, i kept going about my business. Over and over, different weapons, sniper bullets, AR's, even machine gun rounds kept whizzing by me, this went on for about a minute. Now, i knew what this meant but, as i said i JUST checked it so i thought he or she was probably -blam!-ing with me. Finally, i went over to see what this person was going on about and right there tucked away in a corner was a chest i had overlooked. Needless to say i felt like an ass for making him or her wait so long, and for the rest of our farming i made damn sure i showed every material i found. Hat's off to the helpers, you guy/gals rock!

I help defend sync plates outside VOG every time in farming on Venus just cuz of how funny it is when everyone salutes me or bows or waves before they ride on in. Especially this one time when they were doing it man down cuz I guess one of their guys was afk just stading there so I became their sixth man and just took out every praetorian on both sides

I always point or shoot at someone when I find material or a chest near another player. So many times I have "teamed up" with someone and they joined my loop or I joined theirs. And never fail, I always find a chest I wouldn't have found alone.

I was on the moon farming for helium filaments and there was another guy who was also farming. We helped each other out and in the end I managed to get 100 of them. It made the process more fun and less tedious when you've got someone helping you out :)

I'm always this way for MMO style game, help where I can. I'm always farming trying to get people attention for chests. If I'm the only one in the zone for a warst I will kill all the mob but 1 and try sometime to waste a little time till others might show, cause of the one bounty. Also love helping with the 3 plates just some extra fun in the side If you want a good farming buddy feel free to add me, PS3 - midnightcalm, if you see me in the zone many times I'm in public play. Always have a mic on.

If I'm doing my farming rotation, and someone goes in the same direction as me, I will always try to get their attention when I find a chest or a node. The only time I don't do that is when I've been in a farm spot for a while doing my rotation, and then someone shows up and starts going in the direction opposite from me. That just pisses me off.

I was on patrol once on venus and happen to pass the raid area. I saw a team of five doing the raid so i jumped in and helped them to open the door. I then waved them on their way and carried on with my patrol. They did invite me but i didnt have time to do the raid. It felt good to help people out :)

I agree. Destiny has tons of helpful people running around. So continue to point out those chests!
-
Finally a positive post! Good job mate! Gives us a break of all those complaining posts in here! :)
-
Awesome post! I will continue helping my fellow guardians out!

Would anyone on this forum like to lend a helping hand to a 29 reach 30 for VoG hard raid gear?
-
Still nothing better than 1 or more players rushing in to help a public event that you started solo. I've had enough "eliminate the target" events solo to know that just one more can make all the difference. Too many frustrating times I have managed to whittle down the target, only to have him lead me right into a hornet's nest of enemies. Yep. Love hearing that sparrow rushing in and seeing another guardian show up.

I helped a guy with the loot run on the moon a couple of days ago and after about 10 mins got a friend request, so I added him, then got an invite a couple of hours later. Turned out to be a real nice guy and his mate struggling with the weekly, helped them through and kicked sepkis' ass even though I'd already passed it. It was good fun just to team up and give a hand, making new friends along the way :)

Absolutely agree 100%.

You're the type of guy I'm always hoping to get when searching for raid/strike players; mature, considerate and like-minded. PS4: DoctorNockers.

As someone who opened the Vault door with the help from a mysterious stranger who randomly appeared and stuck with us while we got killed a ton of times, I have to say that yeah, there have been some really kick-ass moments in this game where random people just saddle up out of nowhere, help someone else out, then leave with a wave. I love that aspect of Destiny.
-
Totally agree You read the forums long enough and you would think the game is full of elitists and jerks but in the actual game world it's totally different. Very refreshing and I try to pay it forward now that I'm fairly high level Sidenote I'm also PS4 and looking to start building a friend list of like minded players to play with regularly Psn rakuin79

I have met some incredible people since Destiny launched, and I am grateful to have made new gaming friends that are so willing to help. They showed me love, and I must spread my big gooey love all over my fellow Guardians in return. Yeah, it's graphic, but love is beautifully nasty like that. The more I play Destiny, the more I feel it is my duty and responsibility to help out other players. It makes the experience that much more enjoyable and rewarding when RNGesus isn't feeling all that generous. I will go out of my way to help my fellow Guardians because this is OUR community. I want it to be constructive, healthy, helpful, and most of all...fun!!! If anybody is looking for a friendly to blast with, I will gladly adventure with you. I play Destiny on both PS4 and XB1, but the overwhelming majority of my playtime has been PS4. Level 29 Titan Defender/Striker Maxed on PS4. I also have a low level Warlock alt. On XB1, I have a low level Titan. I am very open to helping those just starting out, too. I am no master by any means, but I can definitely give some guidance and light-hearted company. Any like minded friendlies are more than welcome to add me. PSN/XBL: humbleDemon66

Edited by K_hameleon_Z3: 11/25/2014 7:11:21 PMI always point to chests and wait a second to see if they come, also...when farming glimmer I am very experienced and know every strategy to get the enemies to re-appear, so when I notice some players having a hard time I usually wave then shoot or point in a direction to get them to follow me to show them how to get the enemies to re-spawn. Once they realize it works they exchange a nice quick wave, bow, and sometimes we dance off lol...I love it I once even sniped a guardian across the map from my high cliff chest and he turned around, got on his Sparrow to come join me and we farmed for another 30 minutes :)

Agreed whenever im waiting on friends to get on i usally sit infront of the vault waiting on someone that needs it. Yesterday helped some people who really needed it, but since when can level 24s enter the raid?
