CUSTOMISABLE APPEARANCES Y or N?

we want to retain and set skins from weapons and gear we have won

No thanks

This is attempt number four! Trying to get some weight behind a peculiar lack of customisation for our guardians. As with most MMO's, I propose that any garment or weapon we pick up should have its appearance stored. When we equip new armour for better stats, we then have the option to switch its appearance for one from our roster of stored skins. Please chip in and vote if you would like to personalise your guardian.

    • Absolutely absurd that customization was not available at launch, games from even 5 years back let you choose the ways you look

    • Give it up. Don't you think that if they had the ability or skill set then customization would already be apart of the game. Bottomline what we have is the best they can do. It's sad and I know a lot of people don't want to believe it or want to blame hack-a-vision or corporate greed but the truth is Destiny was over hyped and put on the market as is because that was all they could get to work. Bungie isn't the first company to put out a inferior product carried on the back of lies. Look at AC/unity or Skyrim or BF-4 everyone of those games hyped and everyone shipped broken same as Destiny. Well to be honest Destiny isn't so much broken (well the RNG is) but lacking in good fundamental game mechanics, content and story. So stop asking for Bungie to fix this or add that because you might as well be asking for Santa to bring world peace and any rational person knows that both of those are a f'ing fantasy.

      • Like the transmorphimagobble from WOW. just give one set of armor the appearance of another.

          • So with the Queens wrath, iron banner and Vog players have been gaming hard to gain the armour on offer and as a result we pretty much all look the same! Most of the armour is a remix of others, basically pieces of armour copied and pasted to other pieces or instead of a spike on both shoulders they take one off! It is not very imaginative and quite lazy not to mention a huge restriction of personal customisation. Why not give use a wardrobe where we can have the armour we have gained but be able to place or remove items such as spikes, grenades, ammo belt, light bar or led spots, rust, broken parts. They need to look into colour, it's great to have shaders but why not use a different shader for each part of armour? There is so much that could be done and I am astonished that the customisation aspect is so limited. Bungi should be looking in the direction of warframe in terms of getting a basic idea what simple customisation mechanics consists of.

NEEDS to happen. It really doesn't need a complex mechanic to then take Bungie months developing and testing. All we need is what the free to play(!) DC Universe Online does brilliantly. All the assets are there! We just need a copy and pasted UI menu! An 'appearance' or 'style' UI, very similar to the 'character' UI, where the styles of armour are stored for all the armour you found, decrypted or were awarded - even if you have dismantled it!!! We would still grind for the stats of our "true" armour but I wouldn't lose interest in the game due to looking awful and like every other hunter out there... :( I've just had to change my AWESOME PS4 exclusive gauntlets for some that have blue muck spilt down one arm - hence my passion ;) Some of the legendaries are just awful - and I was looking SO badass!

              • I voted but... I actually think this game was just ment to get money. Explains the shitty content. More money was spent on the hype than the game... What does that tell you.
