Everywhere I see people saying to only capture two zones in IB but I don't understand why, don't you get more points per kill from 3 zones? If anyone could explain that would be appreciated.

When you control a zone. You spawn at that area. If you control 2 zones, you spawm there. When you control 3 zones, now you and your enemies are spawning wildly and chaoticly. You need them to spawn in the one spot you leave for them because if you know where they are, you have already put yourself at an advantage.

3 zones is ideal but not feasible. It does you better to hold down 2 zones for the entire game than to try to cap all 3 and just have a giant circle jerk of capturing and losing zones.

Edited by MaKEshiFT51: 11/23/2014 3:58:39 AMControl is not about kills. Period. It's about control. In the end, the "points" are useless. Get 2 areas of the 3, STAY and DEFEND them. Let math do the rest. That's the problem, is SO many people on focus on how many kills they can get. And are like.. We're loosing a flag, oh well, I gotta get more kills. Its objective based, and not death match for a reason. Also, owning 3 flags shuffles the checkpoints, and allows them to spawn near a flag.

Only try to cap 3 if you're up by a lot or really outplaying your enemies. Changing spawns around gets hard to manage, with two zones you have a better understanding if where the enemy team will spawn

Because on Firebase Delphi when you control point C 90% of your team will jump through the -blam!-ing window and get shot to death.... Repeatedly....

Edited by boff: 11/23/2014 4:04:42 AMits hard to hold down 3 zones, and also, it not so much as a spawn trap, but you will know which direction the enemy should be coming from if the have a zone. Its about map control.... but moving around in a circle also works, going from a to b to c, but you will notice, as soon as you hit the third flag, you will more than likely instantly start losing one of the others. holding 2 flags or circling both work, but only as long as the whole team is doing the same thing

Edited by Legion 87: 11/23/2014 4:00:35 AMSpawn trap. If you cap two zones and leave one un-captured it forces the other team to spawn around there. This allows you to "control" the match because you know where the enemy is coming from.

If you cap all 3 you get shot in the back and you can't spawn trap
-
You can control the lanes to the points better better when your team just watches two. Otherwise you just get spread to thin. Unless everyones just murdering on your team, then it doesn't matter so much.
-
When you go for a 3 cap you switch spawns, along them spawn on your back flag. Almost every game with this mode works this way. COD, BF4, etc.

If you have all three they all spawn near one so you lose it very quickly
