Best armour loadout for a Hunter?
Hi all !
So I got my Hunter finally on lvl 20 and I was wondering wich armour loadout is the best for a Hunter? At the moment one thing is for sure I want the Symbiote helmet (because I'm totally going for the GG ) but I don't know for the rest.
I it's mostly for PVE yes I know I'm competing in the Iron Banner with my Hunter it's the first time I'm doing it (more likely the last time ). But I need to be realistic i know that the VoG has legendary stuff and that's just out of my reach. Even with my Titan I have never done the Vault of Glass ( I can't find people for it ) so I need to focus on the I can get my hands on like gear from the Vanguard.

What system are you on, I've got at least one group who will be more than happy to walk 1-3 people through the VoG and take a little extra time to explain the mechanics, our preferred strategies (which you may take or leave as you will) and give everyone a chance to practice/familiarize themselves with the Relic and how it is borne. I'm on PS4 myself so if you are too feel free to drop me a line. Generally I'm on in the mornings from around 9:00 AM EST until 2 or 3 PM EST during the week. I'm up/on most of the day Friday/Saturday unless I have plans for my days off. (Reason being I work graveyard shifts Sunday-Thurs Nights) Of course you could very well be on another system in which case all I can say is bona fortuna, perhaps someday I'll see ya starside.

4 RepliesFor Golden Gun I run -Achlyophage Symbiote (Exotic, 1 extra golden gun shot) -Iron Banner Gauntlets -Vanguard Chestpiece -Iron Banner Boots For BladeDance -Mask of the Third man (Use less super per slash) Iron Banner gauntlets.. etc Just try to go for whatever legendaries you can get and once you're set worry about everything else.

Avoid strength, INT and DIS My dilemma is the helmets are all great in their way for unique circumstances, yet my single favorite load out is Lucky Raspberry to spam arc grenades. So I need legendary max 30 for both helm and chest to swap back and forth, while many just use the exotic helmets. But try raspberry it's great.

I used to Run with: Knucklehead Radar Exodus Grips Queen's Guard Vest Sojourn Boots Strength of the pack/ Cloudwalker Tribute (depending on Shader) never had many problems with this setup, plus Dead Orbit gear looks great on a Hunter!

Intellect as high as you can get it, discipline as low as you can get it, and strength right the middle. Hopefully you got the exotic gauntlet from Xur this weekend. Raid helmet, gloves, and boots. Gunslinger, TDYK, Patience and Time and some kind of machine gun.

Lucky enough myself to have all the exotic armor for hunter maxed so switch out between them when needed.

You can set your perks up to pump the armour up to the max, but you'll lose speed and recovery. Hunters die lots if they get too close without a super or top, top weapons, so if you like to play where the fire is, maybe build another class. Hunters are tough little mo'fos and awesome fun, but don't do getting hit hard :/

Hey there! If you're looking for easy to obtain legendary gear, I would honestly just go with some vanguard gear for now until you can pick up some raid armor. That would be your best bet. It doesn't look too bad, especially when you apply a nice shader like thunder devil or arctic proxy. And if you wanna raid or just play and chat, feel free to add me if you're on Xbox one :)

5 RepliesWhen you do choose to try the VOG, pick your fireteam carefully as I had the worst experience of my Destiny career yesterday when my buddy invited me into it. Neither my buddy or I had ever stepped foot in the VOG prior to yesterday. The fireteam leader basically yelled the entire time I was in there to the point where after 40 minutes I couldn't take it anymore and just left. I know the dude was frustrated because half the team didn't know what was going on or what to do, but can some people cut other people some slack?! Cheers

1 ReplyMy load out is symbiote helmet, dead orbit gauntlets (soon to be iron banner ones (with fast scout rifle reload)), raid chest and boots. Helps me across all sectors. 4 shot golden gun. Quick reload on Vision of Confluence. Happy days in the raid. As mentioned in other posts; this suits my play style and may not help yours

You say you want to focus on GG but I've learnt that using my super in pve just o revive people is infinitely better than 3 kills -.-

1 ReplyImo it's better to be balanced I have all 3 exotic hunter helmets they never leave my inventory. I change them out depending what I am doing. I have all the exotics but I find changing helmets easier. All my armor has Hand Cannon buffs and sniper ammo buff. This works best for me.. Just remember your armor should work for you not just look great.

Intellect and discipline on your armor no strength it's useless I have 2 hunters and all the exotics for it. When I play pve I use golden gun plus symbiote plus you can have two throwing knives if thats your thing. When I play pvp I use blade dancer plus mask of the third man with the perk that makes your blink strike replenish almost instantly. Strength would be useless that's just how I play hope this helps.

Word of advice with blade dancer get max intelligence, with gunslinger having high strength and discipline so you have more grenades and throwing knives. Honestly though it matters so little because whatever you first choose by the time you level it up you will have already changed your mind or it won't matter because of you getting some raid gear that gives 30 light. Just focus on what it is you need according to how you like to play. I focused on strength and discipline because I wanted to snipe with gun slinger and I really like the throwing knives, the grenades are honestly crap on hunters but the 2 good ones are on the blade dancer, your best grenade is actually the very first one you get.

The gunslingers melee is garbage. You want to stack up on intellect the most, then discipline, and try to avoid strength of possible.

2 RepliesFind armor with perks that fit your weapon preferences. If you're playing IB but not raiding you'll want to get the 30 light armor obviously. Beyond that I'm not sure what to tell you
